Background and History

Gu Yuena was originally in a deep slumber within the Star Dou Great Forest. Ye Guyue's Radiant Holy Dragon Martial Soul awakened her; after seeing him, she arranged sacrifices from Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts to accelerate his cultivation and attempted to make him her “Dragon Queen.” 1

Her early relationship with Ye Guyue is openly antagonistic. She relies on her authority and strength to pressure him into their dragon-bond arrangement, while he repeatedly resists her control. Despite their clashes, she assists him in locating desired soul beasts in the Star Dou Great Forest and remains determined to maintain their connection. 24 26 27

After discovering that Bibi Dong was pregnant with Ye Guyue's child, Gu Yuena becomes especially determined to bear his child as well. She later senses Ye Guyue's Radiant Holy Phoenix aura, regarding the combined dragon-and-phoenix bloodline as exceptionally compatible. 56

Gu Yuena eventually becomes pregnant and confronts Ye Guyue over his prolonged absence. She gives birth to their daughter, Ye Longyue, at Life Lake; Ye Guyue chooses the child's name, combining the Dragon Clan's “Long” with the “Yue” shared by both parents. 76 84 85

Following Ye Longyue's birth, Gu Yuena moves to Martial Soul Hall with Ye Guyue and their daughter. Although nervous about meeting the Worship Hall elders, she introduces herself as Ye Guyue's wife and gains their acceptance.
