Background & History

Tang Hao was regarded as one of the Clear Sky Sect's foremost talents and, together with his older brother Tang Xiao, was known as one of the Clear Sky Twin Stars. His status as Tang Chen's grandson placed heavy expectations on him, but Ye Guyue and Bibi Dong were considered talents far beyond the brothers' generation. 4 9

As a Soul Douluo, Tang Hao challenged Ye Guyue at the Worship Hall trial grounds. Confident in the Clear Sky Hammer and his sect's secret arts, he initially offered to go easy on Ye Guyue, only to be overwhelmed after Ye Guyue revealed two 100,000-year soul rings. Tang Hao used Clear Sky True Body, the Clear Sky Nine Absolutes, and Heaven-Surpassing Strike, but was defeated by Ye Guyue's Radiant Holy Dragon Avatar and Holy Dragon Heaven-Stomping Strike. 31 32

Unable to accept the loss, Tang Hao obsessively tempered the Clear Sky Hammer and pursued another confrontation. When he and Tang Xiao encountered Ah Yin outside the Blue Silver Forest, Tang Hao attempted to approach her despite her objections. Ye Guyue intervened; Tang Hao's full-force attack could not break Ye Guyue's barrier, and Ye Guyue shattered Tang Hao's left arm in retaliation. 36 57 The injury left him unconscious for three days and required a spirit bone to fully mend. 59

Fearing Tang Hao would die in another reckless challenge, Tang Chen arranged his marriage to Xiang Xue to secure an heir. Tang Hao agreed and later named his son Tang San, hoping the boy would one day surpass Ye Guyue and avenge him. 59 64 He took pride in Tang San's unusual talent, personally taught him, and repeatedly treated his son's potential as the means to restore the family's honor. 104 105

Tang Hao continued provoking Ye Guyue after becoming a Titled Douluo. He proposed Tang San's match against Ye Xingchuan during the Seven Great Sects selection, expecting the victory to reverse his humiliation; Tang San instead lost. 124 125 Tang Hao then challenged Ye Guyue personally, using Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer, Great Sumeru Hammer, and finally Ring Detonation. Ye Guyue's Dragon God—Judgment of Light pierced him before the detonation could succeed, leaving him severely injured. 126

After this defeat, Tang Hao accepted power connected to the God of Farts, which restored his meridians but contributed to severe bodily changes. He ultimately lost his ability to function as a man, causing Xiang Xue to confront and reject him. 132 149 150 Seeking greater strength, he accepted the God of Dark Night's inheritance, enduring the reconstruction of his meridians and foundation in exchange for renewed divine power. 176

Tang Hao and Yu Xiaogang later ambushed Ye Guyue in Heaven Dou City using god-bestowed divine artifacts. Their combined assault failed; Ye Guyue severed Tang Hao's left arm again, while Tang Wei died covering their escape. 192 193 The incident brought Martial Soul Hall's retaliation upon the Clear Sky Sect. After the sect submitted, Tang Hao, Xiang Xue, Xiang Lan, and Tang San were publicly expelled as traitors connected to Fallen Spirit Masters. 195 197 198

He fled with Tang San's group to the Far North and later the Sun Moon Continent, where he continued a divine trial while Tang San built a force of Fallen Spirit Masters. 198 220 Upon completing his trial, Tang Hao emerged as a god and joined Tang San and Yu Xiaogang in an attack on Spirit Hall's encirclement of Sun Moon City. 226 During the battle, Ye Guyue destroyed Tang Hao's divine core with a single light blade, killing him before he could self-destruct. 227

Personality

Tang Hao was intensely proud of his status, talent, and Clear Sky Hammer. His first defeat by Ye Guyue deeply damaged his confidence, but rather than abandoning the rivalry, he became consumed by the need to avenge every humiliation. 32 36

He was impulsive in battle and repeatedly escalated conflicts despite overwhelming evidence that he could not defeat Ye Guyue. His decisions to challenge Ye Guyue again, use Ring Detonation, accept dangerous divine inheritances, and join the Heaven Dou ambush were all driven by hatred and desperation. 57 126 176 192

Despite his hostility, Tang Hao cared strongly about Tang San's future. He placed immense faith in his son, arranged his cultivation around defeating Ye Guyue's family, and forced Tang San to acknowledge Yu Xiaogang as a master in pursuit of greater power. 104 114 132
