Tang Hao was the son of Tang Wei, the level 96 Super Douluo and Sect Master of the Clear Sky Sect. As a core member and the sect's young master, he grew up while the Clear Sky Sect stood at its peak under Tang Chen's protection. At twenty-four, his level 58 cultivation, Clear Sky Hammer, and status made him a celebrated genius in Heaven Dou City. 49 50

Before confronting Su Mo, Tang Hao had never been defeated by a peer. This unbroken record and the Clear Sky Sect's prestige reinforced his confidence that he was unmatched among his generation. 50

Wagered Battle at the Heaven Dou Great Soul Arena

Tang Hao challenges the masked soul master Asura to a wagered fight. He offers the Clear Sky Sect's Ring Detonation secret technique against Su Mo's method for absorbing soul rings beyond normal limits. Certain of victory due to his level 58 strength and Clear Sky Hammer, he accepts the terms before a large public audience. 50

The fight ends in less than ten seconds. Su Mo immobilizes Tang Hao with Sky Azure Sluggish Divine Claw, then defeats him with Sky Azure Extinction Thunder. Tang Hao is severely injured, unable to move, and suffers his first defeat. 52

Tang Wei and other Clear Sky Sect members intervene after the loss. Tang Wei later agrees to honor the wager only if Golden Crocodile Douluo personally retrieves the Ring Detonation manual from the Clear Sky Sect. 52 53

Slaughter City Training

Following the humiliation, Tang Hao enters Slaughter City to sharpen himself and recover his pride. Over several years, he fights in the Hell Slaughter Arena and accumulates consecutive victories while approaching the Soul Saint realm. 73 74 96

When Su Mo returns to Slaughter City, Tang Hao immediately recognizes him and is gripped by alarm and killing intent. He attempts to leave after his twenty-eighth victory, but Su Mo intercepts him outside the arena to settle the earlier conflict with Tang Wei and the Clear Sky Sect. 73 74

Death

Tang Hao attacks Su Mo with the Clear Sky Hammer but is suppressed by Su Mo's Asura Domain and overwhelming soul-bone abilities. Su Mo reveals three hundred-thousand-year soul rings, uses Infinite Slaughter to sever Tang Hao's left leg, and takes the Clear Sky Sect inheritance spirit bone within it. 74 75

Su Mo then severs Tang Hao's right arm, finds that he has not received a second inheritance bone, takes his Soul Tool, and leaves him crippled. The fallen ones of Slaughter City subsequently kill Tang Hao. 75 97

Aftermath

Tang Hao's family remains unaware of his fate for nearly three years. Tang Chen eventually enters Slaughter City, learns that Tang Hao died two years earlier, and destroys more than half of the inner city in grief and fury. 96 97

His death becomes a grievance driving the Clear Sky Sect's hostility toward Martial Soul Hall. Ning Fengzhi later suspects Su Mo's involvement, while Tang Chen comes to believe that Su Mo may be responsible and seeks vengeance. 150 153 154
