Background / History

The Golden Horned Beast appeared over the American East Coast near NY Port as an unknown extraterrestrial threat. More than one hundred meters long, it destroyed the Statue of Liberty and its island foundation through devouring, then consumed freighters and military fortifications. Human fighters, missiles, and laser weapons failed to damage its dark-gold scales, whose secret patterns neutralized and absorbed the attacks. 25

When Ye Xiu arrived, the beast initially treated him as an insignificant creature and issued a warning roar. It became enraged when Ye Xiu openly appraised its horn and scales as valuable materials, then attacked with its bloodline devouring talent. Its devouring force and Ye Xiu’s Black Hole Domain reached a temporary stalemate. 26

Ye Xiu broke the deadlock by reversing his Black Hole’s rotation, turning its force into a repulsive counter-current that disrupted and reflected part of the beast’s own devouring-law characteristics. Once the Golden Horned Beast’s bloodline power faltered, Ye Xiu resumed devouring, stripping its scales, life essence, and energy. 27

At Babata’s urging, Ye Xiu stopped short of consuming the rare Star-Devouring Beast. He weakened it sufficiently to breach its soul defenses, then implanted a Black Hole Soul Seal strengthened by the Falling Ink Star secret techniques. The seal forced the Golden Horned Beast into absolute submission; it addressed Ye Xiu as “Master” and received the name Little Gold. 27 28
