Sarutobi Hiruzen sighed heavily.
"Shouldn't I sigh?"
He sighed because the two of them really should not have been discussing such a matter. Sarutobi Hiruzen said.
Tsunade asked, "Why?"
"Because there can only ever be one dominant Hokage, never two. Likewise, there can only ever be one dominant Feudal Lord, never two." Sarutobi Hiruzen smiled. He knew Tsunade could understand what he meant.
Tsunade understood, so she did not press Sarutobi Hiruzen further. Instead, she arrived at her own answer.
"You seem to have your own answer. So, are you leaving?" Sarutobi Hiruzen took a sip of tea, narrowed his eyes slightly, then set down the cup and opened a scroll, continuing to study it.
"This time, you're telling the truth." Tsunade stood with a smile. As she was leaving, she suddenly said, "You're already very old. You should read some other interesting books too. Don't spend all day studying ninjutsu, or you won't be able to handle so much brain loss!"
"If you came to see me yesterday or tomorrow, you'd find me reading other books." Sarutobi Hiruzen had originally wanted to ask Tsunade why the Shikamaru clan suffered so much brain loss yet had never produced a single short-lived ghost. But when the words reached his lips, he immediately swallowed them back. He did not want to become an annoying old man so soon.
"I'm the Hokage! How could I possibly have time to visit you every day?!" Tsunade shouted wildly. Then, a sly glint flashed through her eyes. "You could let someone else become Hokage, and then I could come see you every day!"
