"Shisui, it's been a long time."
Inside the Hokage Building in Konoha, Minato Namikaze smiled at Shisui Uchiha.
"Minato-senpai, you've lost a lot of weight." To Shisui, Minato still looked every bit the dashing, heroic man in his Hokage uniform, but that couldn't hide the weariness between his brows.
The Shimura, Utatane, and Mito clans were adding pressure from the front, while the previous generation of Hokage and the Sarutobi Clan were holding him back from behind. Being a young Hokage was no easy task for Minato.
"Hahaha, even your sister-in-law Kushina complains about it. I'm always busy with village affairs and never have time to stay home with her." Minato's hearty laughter was infectious, and Shisui found himself smiling too.
No matter the circumstances, Minato could always face problems with optimism and a positive attitude. That was part of his unique charm.
"If it's convenient, I'd like to visit my sister-in-law, too, and meet my little nephew, who'll be born soon." Shisui smiled as he replied.
Shisui had a good impression of Kushina. Like Minato, she was gentle and kind. In Shisui's view, people like them deserved to be treated gently by the world, not exploited and mistreated for their kindness.
"Sure, how about tonight? I'll have Anbu send a message home ahead of time. Shisui can come over for dinner." Minato readily settled on the plan. Even setting aside their respective clans and positions, he and Shisui got along very well.
"By the way, how come you also think it'll be a boy? Kushina's been dreaming about having a son these past few days, too," Minato asked curiously.
There was no such thing as an ultrasound in the Shinobi World, so people couldn't use scientific methods to determine the sex of an unborn child.
"I'm guessing." Shisui didn't
