Background

Shisui's body contains the merged souls of the original Shisui and a transmigrated soul. Having lived with adult memories and knowledge of his original fate, he rejects the path in which Danzō steals his right eye, he gives his left eye to Itachi, and he dies in the Naka River. 1

At the Battle of Kannabi Bridge, he chooses the Uchiha clan's distress signal over Konoha's orders. He recognizes Akira Shimura and Kamii Sarutobi as monitors placed beside him by the Shimura and Sarutobi factions, defeats them with Phantom Body Flicker, and kills them after they attack him. 1 2

He subsequently changes the outcomes surrounding Obito, Kakashi, and Rin. Shisui saves the team during the Iwagakure operation, later becomes Obito's self-described “big brother,” and obtains a two-tomoe Sharingan for Kakashi after Kakashi loses his left eye. 4 7

Personality

Shisui is far less self-sacrificing than the person he remembers being. He places the Uchiha clan above blind loyalty to Konoha, regards political structures with suspicion, and pursues power aggressively enough to bargain with Madara rather than submit to him. 1 11

He is calculating and often ruthless. Shisui uses Kotoamatsukami and Will of Root to control Danzō and Inabi, turns Danzō into a false “Uchiha Madara,” and treats Kirigakure's bloodline clans as resources for his own development. 24 28 39
