Landen sat in the newly restored palace Study, looking around at the incredibly luxurious decorations.
The walls were decorated with wallpaper with a black background and gold outlines, and each wall was adorned with a life-size portrait of Mage, each painting representing a Legend Mage.
The room features a gilded lacquer table no less than 10 meters long, with mother-of-pearl inlaid decorative paintings on all four sides depicting the history and stories of the Gallop Kingdom. In the center of the tabletop is a marble piece with Magic Pattern.
Opposite the lacquer table, against the wall, stood four tall bookshelves made of the same material. Intricate Magic Array were painted on the crystal cabinet doors, and after hundreds of years, these Magic Array still protected the thick books inside.
The most eye-catching set of large volumes on the bookshelf is the " Gallop Family Biography." Each volume is about the size of an A4 sheet of paper and is much thicker than the length of Landen's palm. The covers, made of monster hide, are inlaid with Glass portraits, Gemstone, and mother-of-pearl.
The " Gallop Family Biography " is the genealogy of the Gallop Royal Family. Each book covers the situation of the Gallop Royal Family members for one hundred years in the God Emperor Era. At the very edge of these thick books, there is a relatively thin booklet with no title on its spine. Landen pulled it out to see what kind of booklet it was that could be placed together with the genealogy.
A storm raged within Landen's heart at the mention of " The Gallop Fairy Register "—this was a book that would never be available on the market!
"All the Magic Fairy of the Gallop Kingdom inherited their lineage from Queen Padmira Night-Kirin City of Night-Kirin City. She ascended to the position of Fairy Queen when Night-Kirin City was built, and Mount Padmira Palace in Night-Kirin City is her throne." Reading books is indeed useful; at least I now know the name of my Royal Palace.
The booklet wasn't thick to begin with, and a quarter of its chapters were about the deeds of the Night-Kirin City Queen. The other half of the chapters were about the dozens of Great Fairy under the Night-Kirin City Fairy Queen. Apart from a small number of Earth Fairy and Water School fairies, most of these Great Fairy were Life-type Fairy.
For Landen, the most useful part was the last section of the booklet, which discussed the conditions for Magic Fairy to advance to Great Fairy. Although it was only a few pages long, it completely opened Landen's mind.
"If I hadn't entered the Royal Palace, I probably would never have had the chance to read such a record in my entire life." Landen closed the booklet and carefully placed it back on the bookshelf. "I'm afraid this has disrupted our previous plans. Someone, go and fetch Neil and Kaiyi."
Since moving into the Padmira Palace, because the palace is so large, Landen has had a personal servant to relay Landen orders at any time.
Because they had just moved to the city, many of the residences and customs in the territory were still arranged and set up according to the tent camp not long ago. For example, Neil and his men cleaned up several large spaces on the first floor and the basement of the Royal Palace Mountain. These spaces should have been warehouses or places where servants gathered hundreds of years ago.
The Territory Residents set up camp in these rooms, rebuilt their tents, and camped indoors in the Royal Palace.
Landen himself did not stay in the Royal Palace bedroom, but lived in a tent in another hall with the core tent. He would only open the Gallop River Hall when receiving Barbarian chieftains who had come to join him, and use the aura of the former Gallop Kingdom to suppress these barbarians.
"Well, I was just about to play the role of a king when no one cooperated," Landen called out a few times, but received no response from his subordinates. He had no choice but to leave the Study and go find his men.
"My lord, I'm so sorry, I didn't hear your voice," a girl said hurriedly as she saw Landen leave the Study.
"What's going on?" Landen didn't bother to argue, after all, he wasn't the real King.
"Lady Nila summoned us together to find Redbird," the little girl said, bowing her head and admitting her mistake.
" Redbird? What happened to her?" Landen remembered the little girl that Nila particularly liked, who was the smartest and most promising child in the territory to awaken her Bloodline.
The girl couldn't explain it either, so Landen could only go with her to the South Staircase Hall, where they saw Nila leading a group of girls searching up and down the stairs.
" Nila, what's wrong with Redbird?" Landen asked.
" Landen? Redbird is missing! We've searched everywhere, but we can't find her anywhere," Nila's voice trembled with tears. "She was here this morning, and Sophia saw her on the third floor this afternoon. How could she just disappear?"
"Don't worry, go back and have someone seal off the rooms that aren't currently in use. These kids are especially prone to running around."
"Found it!" someone suddenly shouted from the bottom of the stairwell.
"Is this Redbird?" "Who are you?" "It should be her."
The stairwell became noisy and chattering as a group of girls escorted a tall figure up to the second floor.
"Waaah, sir, I was wrong, I shouldn't have run off like that!" The two-meter-tall girl in front of me sobbed. "That voice told you to go down and see her, to say that you'd know if you saw me."
"You..." Since entering the camp, Redbird had been living with Nila, and Landen could see her once or twice a day. However, this girl, who was not yet 15 years old, had suddenly grown to 2 meters tall, making Landen unable to recognize her.
"Are you really Redbird?" Nila looked at the girl's face, recognized her, but still couldn't believe it. " Your His Majesty, have you suddenly awakened your Bloodline?"
"I don't know either. I fainted downstairs, and this is what happened when I woke up," Redbird said, clutching her tattered clothes, her words barely forming coherent sentences.
"Alright, stimulating her Bloodline is a good thing. Take her to change her clothes."
Nowadays, it's not uncommon for children to awaken their Bloodline. Besides Patch, three other Barbarian children also awakened their Bloodline and joined the Knight Order, but these children all grew taller and bigger slowly.
Basically, if Mana-Wielder is under 17 or 18 years old, they will not exceed 2 meters in height. Therefore, a height of 2 meters is both a marker of whether the Bloodline has been activated and a marker of whether the Mana-Wielder has reached adulthood.
Redbird, however, experienced a sudden increase in height to 2 meters before the age of 15 when his Bloodline was activated, leaving Landen in awe.
About 20 minutes later, Landen finally saw the door that the Redbird had mentioned, the one that led down the dark steps.
"Are you a descendant of the Gallop Family?" A grand and benevolent voice rose from Landen's heart.
"Yes, my ancestors were descendants of Corbin Gallop, the Legend National Pillar of the Gallop."
"Oh, Corbin's child, I always said you don't seem to have the same Bloodline as Charlie's."
"May I ask your name?" Landen asked tentatively, probing the identity of the voice.
"Hmm, it seems the younger generation has largely lost track of the Kingdom's history," the voice sighed. "I am Padmira, have you heard of me?"
