" Your His Majesty the Queen of Night-Kirin City?" Landen heard the name of the Magic Fairy Queen before the underground gates of the Night-Kirin City Royal Palace.
"It seems you've heard of me," the echoing voice carried a clear tone of satisfaction. "You are of the Gallop Family Bloodline?"
"Yes, my ancestry can be traced back to His Excellency Corbin Gallop," Landen explained, looking around.
"So that's why your Bloodline is different in the Magic Web. You're a descendant of little Corbin."
" Your His Majesty, may I ask where you are? Could you please show yourself?" Upon hearing that it was the Fairy Queen, Landen immediately perked up. No wonder she could directly activate the Bloodline of the Redbird; it turned out that a Legend Magic Fairy had directly intervened. Landen absolutely could not miss such a powerful figure.
"I have returned to the Magic Web. What you hear now is merely a wisp of my lingering resentment," the Queen's voice was languid.
"You think you can awaken a girl's Bloodline just by using your regret? I have over 30 children here, could you please take on that burden?" Landen thought to himself.
"Back then, I saved this Royal Palace Mountain at the cost of returning to the Magic Web. The only purpose of leaving this lingering resentment was to leave this gate to the descendants of the Gallop. Now that you have come, it is up to you to open it."
It sounded like opening the door would mean the Queen would acknowledge her as the rightful heir of the Gallop Family and the master of Night-Kirin City, so Landen quickly placed his hand on the door.
With a series of clicking sounds, the eerie light on the gate gradually brightened, revealing the entire massive Magic Array. The complex main Magic Array was surrounded by dozens of constantly rotating auxiliary Magic Array, and the bursting Magic Power even gave Landen the illusion that he was about to break through.
After a series of sounds, the door opened, revealing a vast space where a dark magical glow flowed across the ground.
"Alright, you've opened the door, and my mission is complete."
" His Majesty Queen, please don't go! Could you help me awaken a few of my children, or elevate one of them to the level of a fairy?" Upon hearing that the Queen was about to leave, Landen quickly stopped her.
"I am nothing but a wisp of remnant spirit. You don't actually believe I still possess the power I once had, do you?"
"Didn't you just activate the Redbird's Bloodline?" Landen asked, quite unwilling.
"You mean that child from earlier? That wasn't an activation; it was a bit of Magic Power I left behind before returning to the Magic Web. It should be enough to get her directly to the beginner level. If you used it on yourself, it'd probably be enough for you to break through."
"Thank you, His Majesty Queen! Please let me break through quickly!" Landen was quite excited when he heard that he could break through.
"I can't do it. I just said that was the last bit of Magic Power I had left, which I originally intended to give as a gift to the descendants of the Gallop."
But the girl said she couldn't get you to come over without proof, so she gave it to her.
"Huh?" Landen hadn't expected that his newbie experience pack would be taken away by a little girl like that.
"That's my experience pack! Mine!" Jealousy twisted Landen's face. If his subordinates hadn't been waiting for him on the first floor, he would have rolled on the ground right now.
"Hey, it's just a little Magic Power. Once you've officially activated this city, that little bit of Magic Power won't be enough for you. Here, go in, and I'll give you a brief explanation."
The Queen's exasperated voice snapped Landen back to reality. He quickly followed the Queen's instructions and went into the inner space, wanting to learn more about the underground part of the Royal Palace before the lingering spirit left.
According to the Queen, the underground portion of the Royal Palace Mountain is much deeper than the above-ground portion and was built over 5,000 years ago. It can be said that the underground facilities are the true main body of the Royal Palace.
" The Magic Array in this room is specifically designed for training juniors. It allows you to directly experience the same level of abundant Magic Power as Great Knight or Archmage."
"There's also an inscription Magic Array downstairs, which allows Mage to draw multiple identical Magic Pattern Magic Pattern simultaneously while drawing one."
Although the Queen rambled on and on, Landen only remembered two points that were most useful to him.
"These Magic Array can be used individually; just have your family's Grand Archmage operate them."
" Grand Archmage?" Landen was suddenly stunned; his family didn't have such a configuration.
"Yes, these Magic Array are probably too powerful for ordinary Archmage to activate. If you can't find them, you can also find Great Fairy or Legend to directly activate the Magic Furnace and Ley Line Magic Power to activate the Magic Array throughout the city."
Just as Landen hesitated, Can Nian spoke again.
"Just go to the Imperial Capital and find the Tower of Purity. Have the God Emperor send his group of Legend students over. Back then, when they swore their oaths, they all spoke so eloquently, guaranteeing the integrity of the Gallop Territory and ensuring that Night-Kirin City would never be ravaged again. But when the Beastmen arrived, they all ignored them!"
"Um... Your Queen, if we invite the Legend from the Imperial Capital to activate the Magic Furnace in Night-Kirin City, won't they demand a share of the profits from the Gallop Plains?" Landen hesitated upon hearing about the invitation for outside help.
"Let them divide it up then."
"Ah?"
"Isn't this something your lord should worry about? What are you, a Intermediate Knight, concerned about?" The Queen's tone was matter-of-fact.
"What?" Landen almost thought he had misheard.
"Once Night-Kirin City is activated, the person with the closest bloodline to the royal family and the highest rank will be chosen from the Gallop Family to govern the Gallop Kingdom. Aren't you a descendant of little Corbin?"
"This royal family of Gallop has nothing to do with you, does it?"
Landen fell silent. He could not accept the situation where he had conquered the country and then someone from the mountains was placed on his head as an ancestor, even if he was granted the Nine Bestowments, appointed as National Pillar, and allowed to enter the palace without bowing.
"Alright, I'm done talking to you. I really have to go. One last piece of advice: be careful of your God Emperor His Majesty. He's not as glorious as you think!"
Salt Mine Camp, Emergency Communication Room in a cave.
He sat alone in front of his sunglasses, communicating with the Imperial Capital.
"I remember His Majesty issued a divine decree that matters on the Gallop Plains would no longer be the responsibility of the Palace Front Department," Ben said, his hands clasped together, his eyes fixed on the person in the mirror. "Just because I can't be bothered with your petty affairs doesn't mean I can tolerate you disobeying His Majesty."
"Your Excellency, after His Majesty issued the decree, the entire Palace Front Department has ceased all operations on the Gallop Plains. It is precisely because of this that the subsequent events have spiraled out of our control." The Magic Mirror gleamed, and although the tone on the other end was sincere, it subtly revealed a kind of mockery, which made Ben even more furious.
"However, we believe that the bear is not yet at the level of Silver Knight, and Viscount Landen may still have a chance to fight him."
Ben's anger towards the Magic Mirror intensified.
"However, Your Excellency, I believe you should advise Landen Viscount to accept the proposed territory exchange, or have the Imperial Capital assist them in restoring Night-Kirin City's functions. Otherwise, the Brown Bear will likely attack before June."
"Hmph, thanks for the suggestion, Chief," he said, already weary of the meetings with the Palace Front Department. "Everything discussed today will be reported to the Tower of Purity for record-keeping."
"Of course, the Palace Front Department is the most loyal practitioner of the will of the Tower of Purity."
The Magic Mirror returned to its normal crystal mirror state, leaving only the Mage. As he turned his head, he saw a flash of light on the door frame of the Emergency Communication Room.
"Interesting"
