Landen, standing atop the city wall, watched five giant beasts charge straight at him and instantly understood the key lay in the three raised platforms within the Beastmen camp.
Before he could react, however, the largest White Wolf had already leapt into the air and flown toward the giant's legs.
"Roar~"
The giant let out a cry. Its four arms moved in succession, grabbing the White Wolf Avatar.
The instant the arms formed of magical elements came into contact with the divine power enveloping the avatar, vast clouds of white smoke rose up. The elements had barely been molded into shape by the Dragon Transformation Art; upon encountering the more intense divine power, they seemed like deflated balloons. Only the all-out replenishment of several Magic Furnaces barely allowed them to maintain their form.
"No, this thing stings to hold. We can't keep grabbing it," Landen said through his thoughts. "My sword can't deal with them all at once. We'll take them one at a time!"
"Alright, this thing's too big. Let's throw it out first!"
"The altars in the Beastmen camp are the key. We need to destroy them!"
"Then you three deal with the beasts. I'll handle the altars!"
The girls answered one after another.
Landen, Gleia, Wendy, and Sophia each controlled a pair of the giant's arms and a pair of its eyes. Though they had rehearsed many times over the past few nights, facing an avatar charging at them for real still made controlling the giant seem exceedingly uncoordinated.
Fortunately, their thoughts could communicate without obstruction. In the blink of an eye, Wendy and Gleia decided to control the two pairs of arms and hurl away the White Wolf that was still struggling violently.
