Moria
Two weeks later, at the exit of compartment A on the Revolutionary Army Hyperion, under standard gravity. Ship time: 7:04.
This passageway connecting the main dining room and the bridge is the one that Augustus, Raynor, Tychus, and Harnack have been walking through every day for the past few days, while the Ghost operative Sarah Kerrigan is more than a head shorter than them, always silently follows along. Her entire life revolves around Augustus, and she seems to have no other interests or hobbies.
The narrow passage, barely wide enough for two Marines to pass through, was filled with serpentine black pipes, and every so often one of the overhead lights flickered—but this was all too commonplace for Augustus.
Once Augustus left Mar- Sara and boarded the battlecruiser, Augustus had far fewer things to worry about. With the Fleets in a state of hyperspace travel, the Fleets had even less to do, and the daily training tasks for the Fleets consisted of washing the decks and running around the lower decks for miles.
The daily affairs and duties on the battlecruiser Augustus relaxed, his officers, led by Tychus and Harnack, would spend their days playing cards and the rest of the time chatting and joking, living a life no different from that of ordinary soldiers in the crew quarters.
Augustus said nothing to them; after the Battle of Mar- Sara, both officers and soldiers needed a period of relaxation.
"Mengsk, why don't we bring Joey Ray's bar on board? I love their cocktails." Tychus was still complaining as Augustus led Raynor and the others down the ship's corridors.
"Should I open a brothel on the Hyperion?" Augustus countered Tychus.
"My word doesn't count." Tychus wasn't incapable of such a thing; he was best suited for the job of a notorious bandit.
"Jimmy, you think so too, right?" Tychus looked at Raynor and winked.
"How so?" Raynor also thought it was a good idea, "Did Joey agree? The Hyperion needs a bartender."
"No, no, no, I mean the whole bar, you know what I mean? The whole bar." Tychus waved his hand. "Of course he has to agree—does he have any other choice?"
"Stop daydreaming, Tychus." Augustus's words silenced Tychus.
The connecting compartment, from the exit of compartment A directly to the entrance of the bridge, had two Raynor Raynor's Raiders in blue Power Armor standing at the entrance to the bridge gate.
Upon seeing Augustus, clad in a dark gray military overcoat, and the group of senior officers behind him, starting with colonels, the two Raynor's Raiders on duty immediately saluted.
"Good morning, soldiers," Augustus said in return.
"Good morning, sir!" the two soldiers replied immediately.
"Hmm." Augustus nodded. "Very energetic."
"You're just privates now, but one day you'll be the best sailors."
"These are the new recruits I've gathered from Mara Sara, Hilo, all of them top-notch, strong young men," Raynor introduced to Augustus.
"You like Mar- Sara, Jimmy," Tychus teased. "There are even more Mar- Sara than Korhal in your unit. I think it's because you're a free-spirited cowboy at heart, and you always seem to hit it off with Mar- Sara."
"I could tell from the beginning that you were destined for great things," Harnack said. "I've met her; that Ma Sara woman is very beautiful—"
Are you two getting married?
"I think so," Raynor replied. "In Shiloh, it's certainly time for farm boys my age to find a girl from the neighboring town to date."
"Churches and priests are hard to find, I'm really worried about that -- but I think even non-Christian churches should be fine."
"I once thought I wouldn't live to see your wedding day." Harnack was genuinely happy for Raynor: "It hasn't been that long, and you're going to be a father. With a boss as your godfather, he's definitely going to be a revolutionary someday."
As they were talking, the bridge of the Hyperion, after a period of tremors, returned to a steady sailing state, and countless starlight immediately poured out of the previously dark portholes.
"That's right on time! They said they'd arrive at this exact moment, and they arrived right on time," Tychus exclaimed in amazement.
"New equipment?" Harnack suddenly jumped out from behind Raynor, as agile as a red-crested rooster taking flight.
Harnack was pointing to the Holographic Projection of the Adjutant on the bridge of the Hyperion, a smart machine that Augustus had only recently reactivated.
The Adjutant's main body is located in the Hyperion's main control room. It is a semi-humanoid machine with a human female upper body template. It is connected to the main control room's database by numerous cables and can provide the commander with many suggestions based on the computing power of its built-in supercomputer.
What appeared on the bridge was Holographic Projection of this Adjutant. Its prototype might have been a beautiful woman, at least her alloy-cast face was not unpleasant to look at.
"Dorian System, within the Kel-Morian Combine, one of the main battlefields during the Guild Wars."
"An untagged communication has been received—" The adjutant's voice was not a mechanical synthesized voice, but a clear and pleasant female voice, but even so, one could not expect it to have any emotion.
"Play." Augustus walked across the bridge and came to the main Holographic Projection screen.
"This is the Kel-Morian Combine's cruiser Fleets. Unregistered battlecruiser, reveal your identity, or we will..." The speaker on the main screen was a naval commander of the Kel-Morian Combine, with brown hair and dark eyes typical of Kel-Morian people.
Commander Kel-Morian initially adopted a confrontational tone, but after the remaining seventeen battlecruisers of the Revolutionary Army Fleets successively emerged from the hyperspace tunnel, he was momentarily speechless.
The Kel-Morian Fleets, consisting of only two Heracles-class Battlecruiser and dozens of auxiliary ships, appeared outnumbered and outmatched when facing the Revolutionary Army Fleets.
Augustus's Revolutionary Army Fleets almost equivalent to two understrength squadrons of the Terran Confederacy Navy. Given the significantly shrunken size of the Kel-Morian Combine's Fleets, such a large Fleets would naturally be seen as a threat by the enemy.
"I am Augustus Mengsk, and I request a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kel-Morian Combine." Augustus told him, "Your Naval Headquarters should have informed you that a Fleets will be arriving soon—"
"Augustus, please forgive my rudeness." The Kel-Morian had actually recognized Augustus long ago, but he only put away his impatience when the entire Revolutionary Army Fleets arrived.
"As per headquarters' orders, you are granted the right to a short stay in Moria, but we will not allow such a large Fleets to enter the Moria system."
