The Enemy Dares to Attack Tadarim
"You have your own missions, not to stand here and wait to see me make a fool of myself." Duke gave the order and then picked up his binoculars again.
"Because that's impossible, understand?"
"Marshal Augustus Mengsk is awaiting our good news."
"Nobody keeps bringing up your defeat at Mar- Sara, even though that battle is in the textbooks of naval and army officer schools." Tychus finished his taunt, then patted his behind and walked away, quickly getting into his beloved Vulture and disappearing from sight.
Tychus's troops were marching on the right flank of Alpha Squadron, and his only reason for coming here was to mock Duke.
Duke glanced back at Tychus, who was hurrying away, and decided it wasn't worth arguing with such a boring guy. Tychus was a troublemaker when there were no battles to fight.
The generals under Augustus Mengsk had all sorts of bad habits. For example, Tychus Finley was more suited to be a bandit than a rebel officer. He was not even suited to lead a unit of soldiers because, although Tychus was not incompetent in these tasks, he was only thinking about making money and had no time to lead a large army.
The others are either madmen obsessed with revenge against the Kel-Morian people, bomb maniacs who smoke and fidget with explosives, the ever-smiling Chairman of National Security August, cold-blooded snipers who kill without hesitation, or red-haired thugs whose crimes are beneath public scrutiny.
"My men and Hank's are right behind us." Raynor didn't leave, but pointed behind him.
"Very good, soon you won't have any room to interfere. Alpha Squadron will take care of all the enemies, and you and your men will soon find yourselves on a picnic, returning to camp safely like kindergarten children wearing yellow hats and holding hands, because the Navy dads of Alpha Squadron are protecting you." As soon as Tychus left, Duke started boasting again.
"Your child is about to be born, isn't it?" Harnack completely ignored Duke; his attention was always wandering, and he would suddenly shift his gaze at Duke in the next second.
"It's only been two months, you idiot with no common sense," Raynor replied.
"Yes, after all, I don't have a mother." Harnack became visibly depressed.
"I'm sorry, Hank, that's not what I meant," Raynor said sadly.
Duke suddenly felt bored and focused on the green jungle and the altar further away through the telescope.
Just as Duke had ordered, the artillery of the Alpha Squadron had opened fire on the pre-set targets. Amidst the thunderous roar of artillery, Duke's binoculars were filled with dense artillery fire. A massive amount of armor-piercing shells, high-explosive shells, fragmentation shells, grenades, and missiles flooded everything in sight.
Those mysterious and exquisite altars, like works of art, were instantly engulfed in the gunfire, and the entire plain was filled with smoke. But Duke, who had no artistic sense, showed no pity for antiques or mysterious alien relics.
"I love this feeling, overwhelming the enemy with artillery shells, smoke filling the air, blood flowing freely." Duke's lips slowly curled into a smile.
"Fire is the only solution." Harnack, who had just been grieving, suddenly stood to Duke's right, holding a very unconventional monocular telescope.
Do you like the smell of burnt food? Or the smell of roasted meat?
"Believe me, once you've roasted someone, you'll never want to try roasting beef again," Duke said. "After the Guild Wars, the Firebat and Firebat in the Confederacy army were all reformed, resocialized lunatics, but the people in your Rebel Army are different."
"You are lunatics who have never undergone brainwashing or modification yet voluntarily donned the Firebat armor."
"I can eat anything when I'm hungry," Harnack said, then suddenly shouted, "Do you see that? There's a huge dome over there."
Harnack pondered the wording, "Like a pot lid."
"I'm not blind." Duke issued the order over his communications channel, "Cease fire. Scott's division advances three-quarters of a mile to set up Bunker and construct fortifications. Artillery positions move forward."
To Duke and the others, an unparalleled Protoss structure came into view. It was a pyramid-shaped building constructed of black alloy and crimson crystal, its surface as smooth as sliced cheese. Huge and beautiful blood crystals were inlaid in the vaulted ceiling and stepped walls. Red light emanated from the crystals, converging at its top, which was inlaid with pointed crystals. The dazzling light gathered at the top, like a spot of sunlight.
Just like the armor and weapons of the Tal'darim warriors, spikes and long blades stood like swords atop this pyramid-shaped structure, the forest of blades gleaming with a chilling light. It looked as if the Taldarim wanted to use this building as a weapon, as if they were throwing blood crystal spears at the enemy's face with this spiked structure.
This is by no means a building constructed by humans using reinforced concrete or precast panels and modular alloy plates welded together. It is a magnificent building formed by nature, with the inscriptions on its walls revealing a freehand style of killing and unwarranted brutality, symbolizing the Taldarim's aesthetics of war and the art of slaughter.
A Tal'darim Nexus stands in the distance, towering amidst the smoke and fire of battle. A red glow, like a storm, envelops the magnificent structure in a thin, bubble-like plasma shield.
A bridge of light, formed from shaping energy, extends down from the top of the Nexus, connecting dozens of equally spiky black Taldarim buildings, with massive crimson prismatic crystals standing between the imposing structures.
Hundreds upon hundreds of Tal'darim clad in black armor and wielding crimson blades appeared within the aura of the Pylon. From where Duke and the others were, they could even hear the Taldarim's dizzying Psionics war cries.
"Compared to these things, the Sky Tower of the Tarsonis Old Families is like a child's stack of blocks or a dwarf's hut," Raynor said, standing on Duke's other side, holding binoculars. "To this day, no one has figured out who built the pyramids on Earth; maybe it was these aliens."
"What are they shouting?" Harnack asked.
"Guess," Raynor said.
"Ah! Today we're going to kill those human bastards, because they dared to defecate on Pointy Head's territory!" Harnack exclaimed.
"A country bumpkin is a country bumpkin," Duke grinned.
"In any case, these are all ours now." At this point, Raynor gradually revealed his bandit-like nature. He had always adhered to Augustus's "take what you can get" principle, and what belonged to the enemy was naturally his own.
"Okay, when we get our hands on these buildings, Swann and Kaczynski will be ecstatic."
Yesterday I was obsessed with ranking up in ranked matches.
