Dr. Hansen of Agria
SCT 2490.8.08, local time 9:21am.
More than four months have passed since Augustus's Revolutionary Army left Bhekar. During this time, the Revolutionary Army Fleets assisted the immigrants of Korhal in establishing several self-sufficient settlements in Kalis and Marik V, and then rushed to Agria to settle the remaining people.
"Agria, a pure blue planet, is covered by vast oceans for over 75 percent of its area. The landmass consists of a main continental plate and islands. A long, narrow, and irregular continent stretches from the frigid Arctic to below the temperate zone in the southern part of the planet, while most of the remaining islands are distributed along the long coastline of the main continent."
As the shuttle carrying Augustus began to retract its thrusters in preparation for landing, the Hyperion's Adjutant, connected to the shuttle's main computer, was reading Agria's data.
"The main settlements of the Agria immigrants were located in the temperate zone with suitable temperatures, and their leader was Bernard Hansen, a PhD in biology from the University of Tarsonis."
"This place looks much better than that stinking latrine of Mar- Sara. At least there won't be any crazy Taldarim with pointy heads wielding lightsabers suddenly popping out of the jungle," Tychus muttered sullenly.
Augustus sat next to Tychus and Harnack, who had been doing nothing for the past few months.
After all, Tychus and Harnack were the kind of people who, apart from fighting, became useless and chaotic. Tychus incurred Augustus's wrath for trying to organize a strip club among the immigrants. Harnack, on the other hand, defeated several high-ranking officers, including Brigadier General Edmond Duke, commander of the Alpha Squadron, in four months through duels, rising from brigadier general to second lieutenant.
"At least for now, Agria seems safe," Raynor said, still shaken.
Raynor's wife was seven months pregnant, and he realized that their child would be born during the Revolutionary Army Fleets's voyage, becoming one of the children born on the Fleets, and most likely spending his childhood on the deck of the Hyperion.
If someone asks Raynor about his hometown, he will proudly introduce Shiloh, but if it's his child, then his hometown is the stars and the sea; he is truly a child from the stars.
"Augustus, how long are we going to stay here?" Raynor asked.
"It won't be long," Augustus.
"Traveling through space has consumed far too much of our time, and the Confederacy is almost forgetting we exist."
After a slight jolt, the shuttle carrying Augustus landed on a flat, open area. Raynor and Faraday led a squad of guards out of the shuttle first, followed closely by Augustus, Kerrigan, and the others.
Augustus accompanied by Raynor, Tychus, and Harnack, the original crew of the Heaven's Devils. Agria Warfield Londerstein, two trusted generals skilled in defense, served as Augustus's eyes and ears, overseeing the Revolutionary Army Fleets outside the Agria system and coordinating the overall situation.
The lowest rank among the Heaven's Devils is now colonel. Except for Lisa Cassidy, who recently used every means to secure the position of Augustus's personal physician, their positions have always been very stable.
"We need to settle the remaining two million men quickly. The Fleets can't accommodate that many," Augustus continued.
Every battlecruiser in the Revolutionary Army Fleets was crammed with people; even the passageways, main engine rooms, and space torpedo launch bays were filled with immigrants from Bhekar. And Augustus could not possibly take all these people with him on his campaigns.
As the shuttle came to a stop on the ground and the gangway door slowly opened, a clear blue expanse of space, vast green fields, and white-walled, red-tiled settlement buildings immediately came into Augustus's view.
The fragrance of grass and flowers fills the air. When the wind blows across the distant fields, the wheat waves roll like ocean waves, and hundreds of huge white windmills turn, driving the waterwheels in the azure river.
As far Augustus could see, there was only a vast expanse of green wheat fields and beautiful, clean houses. Immigrants wearing yellow sun hats drove tall, bipedal agricultural robots across the fields, resembling Giant in red and white.
Agria is located on the edge of the Koprulu Sector. Before the Terran Confederacy annexed most of the Kel-Morian Combine's colonies, this planet was on the very periphery of the Confederacy's territory. Even the equally remote Mar- Sara was quite far from Agria.
Because Agria rarely interacts with the core world, the Terran Confederacy still believes it to be a wild and undeveloped world, and that the immigrants there are starving and naked due to a lack of government assistance, and have become savages and barbarians.
When the shuttle's engine finally came to a complete stop, Augustus could hear was the whisper of the wind and the rustling of the wheat fields, and he relaxed completely in that instant.
Since Augustus took over as commander of the Revolutionary Army, he rarely spent his precious time on leisure and entertainment. Augustus rarely had a moment to relax; he could only calm down when he was drinking tea and taking a hot bath.
"Damn, that's beautiful!" Harnack shouted as he walked past Augustus, swaying as he drew a heart shape on the ground with his foot.
"Where are the bars and girls?" Tychus craned his neck.
"Let's go, let's go--" Augustus, his hair twitching with exasperation, walked back as his guards towed several Vulture out of the shuttle's cargo hold.
"Let's go find Ariel Hanson, the chairman of the immigration area here. Maybe he can help us," Augustus said as he climbed into his personal red Vulture.
"Agria is still in the development stage and lacks a sufficient labor force. The influx of a large number of immigrants can greatly increase the local development level to a certain extent."
Augustus, Raynor, and the others quickly drove their Vulture across fields and villages into the heart of the settlers' community, where the local settlers watched them with suspicion. Agria was a beautiful agricultural planet, but also a frequent haunt of pirates—though the pirates had little interest in wheat.
Augustus eventually found a beautiful red house built of brick and wood, and a garden enclosed by a wooden fence, in which light purple morning glories and red tomatoes were planted.
A girl with short, flowing black hair stood inside the fence, looking at Augustus with her large, light green eyes, holding a cauliflower and an old book with a gold-embossed cover.
"None of you are people I know," she said.
"But welcome to Agria, gentlemen."
