the next day.

Augustus woke up precisely on time, reaching out to knock over the classically crafted electronic clock before it could tick. Beside him, Kerrigan gazed calmly at Augustus with her captivating emerald green eyes, her long, fiery red hair, tied up before bed, now spread loosely on the pillow.

For more than two years during which Augustus served as Marshal of the Korhal Revolutionary Army, former Confederacy Ghost operative Sarah Kerrigan served as Augustus's personal bodyguard—in every sense of the word.

This is an enviable job, especially for those female ghosts who admire Augustus and the medics of Heaven's Devils.

So far, Kerrigan has proven that her position is irreplaceable.

"Good morning, darling," Augustus said, getting up to pick up his shirt, dark gray military jacket, and trousers from the hanger, and walking towards the sonic bathroom on the creaking mahogany floor.

"It's a sunny day, I hope this weather makes you feel good." Kerrigan admired Augustus's bronze skin and Greek-sculpted muscles, feeling her own infatuation with the man.

Capturing Kerrigan at sixteen years old was actually quite simple.

Kerrigan had never felt cared for or loved by a man, but Augustus her that. At the age of 18, Kerrigan was still just a young girl, and she always had many unrealistic fantasies about love.

A red-haired girl trained to be a cold-blooded Confederacy assassin finally finds meaning in her existence in the revolutionary cause, and finds the feeling of loving and being loved in Augustus.

When Augustus emerged from the sonic bathroom, he was already dressed in a crisp Revolutionary Army marshal's uniform. Augustus many such uniforms, each one personally ironed and styled by Kerrigan.

By this time, Kerrigan had already donned her black Umojan Shadow Guard uniform, which had been redesigned to reduce the wearer's Psionics signal, making it difficult for the Zerg were extremely sensitive to Psionics, to detect her presence on the battlefield.

The form-fitting black bodysuit perfectly accentuated Kerrigan's curvaceous figure, and Augustus couldn't find an ounce of excess fat on her body.

The Revolutionary Army marshal's breakfast was no different from that of the senior officers in the marshal's headquarters and the ordinary Revolutionary Army soldiers: warmed-up croutons, peanut butter, and espresso ensured that Augustus would remain in top condition for the rest of the day.

"That Protoss executive officer Tassadar is much easier to talk to than we thought. When they destroyed Sara without hesitation, we all thought they were just pure destroyers." While Augustus was focused on the food on the table, Kerrigan was organizing her backpack.

"That doesn't conflict with anything, Sarah." Augustus swallowed the last piece of bread and finished his coffee.

"I hope the unit I've specified is already waiting for me on the tarmac."

Augustus put down his cup and climbed up a metal ladder in the secure chamber. After opening several layers of security doors, he finally emerged from the chamber and entered a low house made of red bricks.

Faraday and his elite guard were protecting the area; these loyal and courageous soldiers had sworn to stand between the Marshal and danger at any moment. Among them were Jim Raynor and Harnack Hank, who were already fully armed and ready to go, while Tychus Finley, yawning, had just walked in from the doorway.

Tychus was never late, but he also never arrived a minute early. This burly man always believed in the principle of touching people whenever possible at work, and he only showed initiative on rare occasions.

"Marshal, I still don't think it's wise for you to lead the team yourself," Faraday said as soon as he saw Augustus.

"Come on, kid. While Augustus kicking the Kel-Morian asses with the Heaven's Devils, you were rolling around in the mud in the streets of Sterling," Tychus said, glancing sideways as he walked past Faraday.

"There's nothing our Marshal won't do." Raynor's confidence and trust in Augustus even surpassed his trust in himself.

"I know you're worried about the boss's safety," Harnack patted Faraday on the shoulder. "Don't worry, we'll all die before him."

"Don't worry, Corporal, I'm not so old that I need to be stuffed into a nutrient tank or a coffin." Augustus glanced at his subordinate's watch. "The force tasked with hunting Cerebrate is ready, and I'm leading the most elite warriors drawn from various units."

Since the Protoss Expeditionary Force is the main force in this battle, Augustus does not intend to deploy too many troops at the location of the Garm Brood's Cerebrate. What he needs is a highly elite squad capable of killing the Cerebrate in one blow with minimal losses.

Augustus spoke, he led the way out of the red house. Not far away was a helipad where a dozen APOD transport ships were parked. Each transport ship was painted in gold and red, with the Revolutionary Army's white whip ring and black and white panda head emblem on it.

About two companies of the Revolutionary Army soldiers, totaling over two hundred men, were standing near the transport ships. The one giving the order to stand at attention was Augustus's newest and most capable lieutenant, Governor Mar- Sara Pulaier.

In the Korhal Revolutionary Army, Pulaier was awarded the rank of lieutenant and was primarily responsible for commanding troops in the Sara System.

"Your troops are ready, Marshal." Pulaier Player was in high spirits and full of fighting spirit.

"Thank you for your excellent work, Mr. Pulaier," Augustus. "We must board the ship and depart; we must reach the assembly point on the appointed day."

"Hopefully those Protoss are worth cooperating with." Tychus distrusted the Protoss, judging them by his own standards, believing everyone was a liar, let alone some aliens.

"If the Protoss want to use us as pawns, I'll give those blue-headed, pointy-headed asses a good kick."

Augustus shook his head and turned to Raynor, saying, "Jimmy, you'll be in charge of the Revolutionary Army while I'm not in command center. That shouldn't be a problem for you. The senior staff in headquarters will help you handle those damn documents."

"It sounds like you're just trying to escape your job." Raynor scoffed. "I don't think I'm fit to be a marshal; I'm not as capable as you."

"These rabble will be yours sooner or later, Jimmy," Augustus said as he boarded an APOD transport ship with its engines roaring loudly, followed by Kerrigan and Faraday.

"You're the boss, you make the decisions," Raynor said, shrugging.

A fleet of transport planes painted in gold and red rapidly took off and ascended into the orange-gray sky of Antiga, gradually moving out of the force field of the Ansadar Psi Disrupter.

It was just dawn, and strong winds always struck the Ansadar region at this time of year, dispersing the lingering fog over the Ansadar industrial area.

The red sun in the sky was shining on the awakening Ansadar Plains and the Joey Canyon, which was originally a trench. In Augustus's eyes, the city gradually became a black dot that was moving further and further away, and the traffic flowing through the city's transportation network was like black ants.

After ascending to several thousand feet in the air, the transport ship carrying Augustus began to accelerate, leaving the horizon as a spinning coil of light far behind. About two squadrons of the Revolutionary Army Wraith were escorting the transport ship formation, with fighters occasionally breaking away from the formation to drive away any approaching Mutalisk.

This mixed formation flew out of the atmosphere and into space, leaving the ground far behind.

As the spaceship sped along, several Revolutionary Army engineers who had traveled with it carried a black metal box to Augustus.

"We don't yet have a production line for mass production of Psi Disrupter. All the jammer components need to be welded together by engineers, so production is limited," said an engineer wearing a gray-green flat-top hat.

"It will take at least three minutes to activate the Psi Disrupter and keep it running stably," he said. "But once activated, the Zerg within the force field will go berserk—more berserk than when they were sentient. Be careful, even then they will still attack our warriors."

"So, Swann means we should use it sparingly and not damage this hard-won equipment." Augustus nodded.

Currently, the Korhal Revolutionary Army has activated a total of four Psi Disrupter in Antiga to protect three cities and a major military fortress, housing approximately six million Antiga residents. The Revolutionary Army's assault team continues to research Psi Emitter and Psi Disrupter in hopes of making further progress.

The development of new technologies is not something that can be accomplished overnight. Even with theoretical reserves, it may take a considerable amount of time to manufacture the weapons in the concept. For example, Augustus wanted Swann and Umojan to develop the Yamato Cannon technology a long time ago, but they haven't made any progress to this day.

"That's probably what he meant." The young engineer showed no fear when facing Augustus.

"It would be great if all the bugs would die the moment it was activated," Tychus said. "That shouldn't be difficult. I think Swann and the people at the technology lab should research something like this. One press of the red button and all the bugs would be dead—that would be awesome."

"If we can make the Cerebrate and Overlord link their clan members' Psionics to each other and turn against themselves, then we should be able to achieve that effect." This engineer, who looked quite young, didn't think it was an extremely crazy and impossible idea.

"Just do it that way, Augustus pay for it, and there will definitely be a bonus." Tychus was happy to use other people's money, since it wasn't him who was paying.

"Colonel, I didn't join the Revolutionary Army for the prize money." The engineer shook his head and said, "Unfortunately, it's not possible with current technology."

"Then aren't you just talking nonsense?" Tychus felt like he'd been tricked.

"Human technology has always been advancing," the engineer said. "During the Guild Wars, the new weapons and concepts developed by the Terran Confederacy and Kel-Morian in four years far exceeded the total of the previous half-century."

"Good steel should be used where it's needed most," Augustus. "Hopefully, this Psi Disrupter will have a remarkable effect."

When the transport ships arrived at their destination, it was still night. A large number of Protoss ships, gleaming with golden and blue light, were waiting for Augustus there, each golden ship resembling a radiant sun.

The Protoss Fleets in orbit around Antiga had already carried out a series of orbital bombardments on the land beneath their feet. Crimson flames and flashes of light surged across the ground, and some Zerg tower-like structures ignited by Protoss beam weapons were still burning fiercely, their flames turning the horizon red.

The Protoss forces have already landed on the ground and are advancing towards the burning Zerg hive.

Even after being swept away by the Protoss warships' beam weapons, a considerable number of Zerg still survived on the ground; they were either lucky ones who had hidden deep underground or tough-skinned Ultralisk.

A large number of shimmering light blades resembled blue torches releasing brilliant flames. From time to time, Psionic Storm swept across the land, carrying up hundreds or thousands of charred Zerg corpses. Azure arcs of electricity surged like lightning serpents, and the Zerg's carapaces fell like rain.

The camera on the belly of the transport ship was directly connected to the HUD in Augustus's helmet, allowing him to see clearly what was happening on the surface.

"It seems we don't need to intervene anymore." Tychus's narrowed eyes revealed a shrewd calculation. "Once the Protoss deal with these Zerg, we'll take care of that Cerebrate."

"How many Zerg are left below?" Augustus asked.

"The ship's sensors show that the Protoss army has an overwhelming advantage, Zerg are in complete retreat," Kerrigan said.

"Land," Augustus commanded.

After the spaceship landed on the harder surface of the other side of Antiga, Augustus and the others who stepped out of the hatch could clearly feel the scorching heat in the air.

The ground beneath their feet had transformed into a fiery wasteland, littered with the smoking corpses of Zerg. Augustus spotted the smooth, golden wreckage of some Protoss mechs, suggesting that the battle here was not a one-sided massacre, and the Protoss had also suffered considerable losses.

A Protoss High Templar was running at high speed toward Augustus, followed by a dozen or so Protoss Templar Knights in full armor. The twin blades and eyes of each Protoss warrior gleamed brightly in the darkness.

"Marshal Augustus Mengsk, the Zerg here have suddenly attacked us, forcing us to launch a preemptive strike on the Zerg main hive." Perhaps it was by nature, but despite the honorific title the High Templar used for Augustus, his tone was far from enthusiastic and respectful.

"The Templar Knights are searching for the Cerebrate hiding in the main hive; perhaps you can help us."
