"Crying? Crying counts as time!"

Tychus Finley roughly untied Dr. Stanislav Boggs, who was strapped to the electric chair, his fleshy face bearing an unpretentious, menacing expression. For Tychus to play a villain would be a perfect fit.

"Speak," Augustus, sitting down in a chair and crossing his left leg over his right. The sharp-eyed Arcturus and the expressionless Kerrigan stood on either side.

"Dr. Stanislav Boggs, I'm listening."

At Faraday's command, the Marshal Guard, fully armed in gold and red Power Armor, stood on both sides.

"Cough cough." When Tychus removed the unidentified obstruction from Boggs' mouth, he opened his light blue eyes wide and coughed violently.

"Augustus Mengsk. Augustus, you've finally come to see me. I knew it, ha ha ha, the wise and mighty Augustus Mengsk would never ignore someone as talented as me." Dr. Boggs placed his trembling hands on his knees, his whole body shaking violently, it was hard to imagine the shock that Tychus had given him.

"Doctor, it seems you recognize me?" Augustus tilted his head and looked at Kerrigan.

"Twenty seconds." Kerrigan to check the time.

"Of course, who doesn't know the famous Augustus Mengsk, the people's hero! Even the masseuses at the Tarsonis Water Baths have heard of your fame and admire your heroic figure in portraits," Borg said.

"It would be unbelievable for any human living in the Territory of the Terran Confederacy not to know your name."

"Half a minute has passed." Faraday raised his hand, and two Marshal Guard's guards walked to Borg's side and pointed their black gun barrels at his head.

"Marshal Augustus, I've wanted to join the revolution for a long time!" A few beads of sweat appeared on Borg's forehead as he hurriedly explained, revealing that he was still very afraid of death.

"I have been longing for your arrival day and night, but I cannot extricate myself from this quagmire."

"I see, thank you for your support." Augustus thoughtfully, "You have two minutes left."

"Isn't it five minutes?" Borg was shocked.

"I possess the most confidential information and technology regarding the Terran Confederacy's Resocialization Project, which can provide you with a powerful resocialization legion. With this legion, no enemy will be a threat." Despite his shock, the Confederacy's chief scientist still spoke clearly.

"Both the Kel-Morian Combine and the Umojan Republic covet this technology but have been unable to acquire it."

"Are you an expert on resocialization technologies?" Augustus asked.

"I know it inside and out." Borgs nodded hastily, exaggerating to save his own life. "I can help you create an entire resocialized army, tens of millions of people!"

"He is a rare talent." At this point, Arcturus Augustus, "The resocialization project has obvious flaws, but its value in a StarCraft war cannot be ignored. However, even if the Kel-Morian and Umojan people obtained the technology for resocialization, they would most likely not use it, based on their institutions and traditions."

"Very good. Go on." Augustus gestured for Boggs to continue, but the timer did not stop there.

"I can create warriors for you that are stronger than ordinary soldiers. They are soldiers enhanced through biological genetic reprogramming. They are Resocialized Soldier who can endure modifications that ordinary people cannot." Borgs kept emphasizing his value to Augustus.

"They will be humanity's hope in the fight against the Zerg and Protoss!"

"Sounds like a super soldier, a mass-produced Ghost operative." Tychus walked over to Augustus.

"As expected, the Terran Confederacy has been secretly conducting these taboo experiments that cross moral boundaries, using humans as experimental subjects and arbitrarily altering genes." A look of disgust appeared on Arcturus's cold face.

"This is something that cannot be made public; the Confederacy will never reveal it."

"Scum." Kerrigan recalled her unpleasant memories of the Ghost Academy.

"That's only because humanity isn't powerful enough." Borgs suddenly interrupted Arcturus, his eyes widening abruptly. "Genetic modification, genetic adjustment and alteration will benefit all of humanity."

"Marshal Augustus, you must have heard of the Zerg and the Protoss?" he said.

"We can use their genes to modify humans, creating humans even more powerful than the Protoss and Zerg —mass-produced." The ambitious Borgs clearly had a sinister plan.

"You deserve to die." A golden glint flashed in Kerrigan's beautiful green eyes; if she so desired, she could crush Borg's head with her Psionics in an instant.

"What the hell is that thing? Oh—it makes me sick. Uh, I've already remembered what I had for breakfast." Tychus shook his head.

"How powerful could it be?" Arcturus nodded. "But I think probably no one would willingly accept such a transformation. If a person is no longer human, no longer accepted by human society..."

"Then what will he become? And what will he become if we can't control him?"

"Resocialization and neural inhibitors will keep them firmly in the hands of the controller, and there will be absolutely no problem," Boggs assured him.

"Usually, when someone says they can never make a mistake, they will make a mistake," Arcturus calmly pointed out.

How do you tame a wild beast?

"Do you think I would agree to your plan—to transform humans into monsters?" Augustus was shocked; he immediately thought of Hybrid.

"This is too evil. What makes humans human is their self-awareness," he said.

"More precisely, you are trying to create a completely new race, different from humans."

"You're absolutely right." Stanislav Boggs chuckled, then burst into laughter, a stark contrast to his previous timid and fearful demeanor, making one wonder if he had become mentally unstable due to some kind of shock.

"A completely new race. They will possess the intelligence of humans, the powerful Psionics energy of the Protoss, and the ever-evolving bodies of the Zerg. They will have ultra-dense skin harder than steel armor and Psionics energy capable of crushing everything. They can slice through enemies with razor-sharp tentacles and limbs, and can reshape their twisted bodies at any time. They can summon flames; they will bring death, they are demons of the present world and messengers of hell roaming the earth." The mad doctor laughed maniacally.

"Humanity will evolve!" Tears streamed down his face. "Humanity will become a completely new race. And I, and I..."

"I am the creator."

"You're insane," Arcturus said coldly.

"No, I'm not, I'm not crazy!" Borgs regained his composure, though his deeply lined face was still trembling.

"The time has come," Kerrigan Augustus.

"You don't have to die." Augustus originally thought he was just the person in charge of a resocialization project, but the reality was far beyond his expectations. Even if it was just the ravings of a madman, it was enough for Augustus, who knew the truth, to take it seriously.

Augustus couldn't help but wonder if this man named Boggs was actually one of Narud's. In a sense, Boggs was indeed a genius.

"I knew it, I knew it, no one would abandon this great plan. Augustus, how wise you are." Borg was overjoyed.

Borgs knew what he had done—even though it was Confederacy order, he had personally transformed living, breathing people into Resocialized Soldier.

He also witnessed even more horrific experiments, turning people into monsters and monsters back into people.

No scientist with a conscience would enjoy it as much as Boggs.

To trample on human genes at will—if the members of the United Earth Directorate heard about this, they would have already sharpened their knives.

"You should execute him," Kerrigan snapped. "Do you know how many people he's killed?"

"No, isn't it too lenient to just execute him like this?" Augustus nodded.

"How could you abandon such a grand plan?" Borg's heart skipped a beat, and he suddenly realized that his nightmare had only just begun.

"Dr. Stanislav Boggs, I must expose your crimes at the Noris Resocialization Center," Augustus said, standing up.

You already have a blood debt to repay.

Resocializing civilians who are completely unaware of the truth and conducting unbridled human experiments—all of this crosses the line of morality. There is more than one such House of Horror in the Terran Confederacy, where men, women, the elderly, and children are all experimental subjects of a group of mad scientists from the Confederacy. The unknown horrors and heinous acts are enough to drive adults insane.

The people of the Terran Confederacy will eventually learn the whole truth, and then they will all stand firmly on Augustus's side.

"A crime? Everything I did was so that humanity could continue to survive in the universe," Borgs tried to justify himself.

"You want to impose your morals on me? In this cruel universe, the strong prey on the weak; morality is utterly worthless. A race, a civilization, if it is defeated, is doomed."

"You will be judged by the law, not by morality," Augustus said.

"Do you think I'll let you off the hook just because you don't talk about what you did in Noris? I've seen the photos of the labs here. The experiments you inflicted on those poor people were horrific—forced grafts, organs from monsters, brains pieced together arbitrarily."

"Blood flows in every cage, and the souls of the dead are bound in every dark room."

"But like I said, I won't kill you. Take him away," Augustus said finally.

"Put him in New Folsom Prison," he said.

"Dr. Stanislav Boggs will serve his sentence there indefinitely, until one day I remember him and bring him before the people for trial."

"You can't do that! You've wasted a genius, given up the chance to start a new era. You'll regret it, Augustus Mengsk, you short-sighted and despicable man!" Dr. Boggs roared angrily before being taken away by several Revolutionary Army soldiers.

"He's quite ill," Tychus said with pity. Though he was bad, he wasn't mentally ill.

"He doesn't really think we can't fight a war without him, does he? What kind of idiot would expect to defeat the enemy with a bunch of monsters?"

"What about the rest of them?" Arcturus pointed to the remaining researchers in the room, his opinion clear. "The resocialization program isn't entirely useless to us. These are scientists trained by the Confederacy for many years; they might still be of some use."

"The world is not simply black and white."

Augustus glanced at the horrified researchers. "Only those who were forced into the resocialization program and still have a conscience will be released."

"The rest of them...don't they like resocialization? Let them try it," he said.

"When implanting memories, just implant memories of loyalty to the Revolutionary Army."

He had barely finished speaking when a researcher fainted from extreme fear.

"He is loyal to you," Arcturus corrected.

"Do as you please, Arcturus, it's all up to you." Augustus rubbed his forehead and said, "I'm tired."

"At least, I saved many more people today—at the cost of killing even more."

"Should we preserve Noris VI's resocialization plant?" Arcturus asked. "It would be such a waste to blow it up."

"You can make a lot of money reselling old equipment and scrap metal," Augustus joked.

"Is that all you've got?" Arcturus laughed.

"Keep them. The Confederacy's idea is not bad. Unforgivable criminals should be treated this way. Resocialized Soldier are the best candidates to carry out suicide missions." Augustus turned to leave.

"However, the neuroremodeling technology of the resocialization program can help heal the psychological trauma of our soldiers. At the same time, that can further advance the Cerberus Project," he said.

"I can't turn all my soldiers or ordinary people into Resocialized Soldier like the Confederacy does. One truly well-trained and battle-hardened elite soldier is better than a hundred Resocialized Soldier because they can never become officers, people who make decisions and give orders."

"What about cloning technology?" Arcturus asked, walking beside Augustus.

"Cloning technology must be strictly limited; we cannot set this precedent." Augustus's attitude was clear and resolute.

"As you know, cloning technology was abandoned more than a century ago."

"But that doesn't mean it doesn't exist." Arcturus shook his head.

"If that's the case, why don't I just command the Zerg to fight?" Augustus looked at Arcturus: "You wouldn't want anyone to think of you as a clone."

"That's settled then. Noris VI will become one of our satellite worlds. This resocialization center will be transformed into a new research center to study the beneficial effects of genetic modification on humans."

"My territory has expanded again."
