Background / History

Naruto grows up isolated in Konoha as the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki. The fox's chakra leaves whisker-like markings on his face, causing villagers who do not know his identity to associate him with the Nine-Tails Incident and reject him. He lives alone in poor conditions and craves companionship, especially over ramen. 32 60

Jiraiya meets Naruto at Ichiraku Ramen, cleans his apartment, and eventually chooses to live with and train him. Naruto quickly accepts Jiraiya as his master and gains renewed motivation from the Fourth Hokage's legacy. 32 34

Danzo later abducts Naruto, exploits his fear for Jiraiya, and uses torture, drugs, and Kotoamatsukami to force out the Nine-Tails' chakra. Naruto is driven into a seven-tailed form before Senya seals him with Qianyue; his injuries require Jiraiya and Senya to seek Tsunade's treatment. 48 50 51 59

During the journey, Senya tells Naruto that Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki were his parents and that they died sealing the Nine-Tails inside him to protect Konoha. Though devastated, Naruto draws strength from their love and resolves to become an outstanding ninja. 60

Danzo targets Naruto to weaponize the Nine-Tails against the Uchiha. Naruto resists through his attachment to Jiraiya but is ultimately captured, tortured, and forced into a seven-tailed transformation before Senya seals him. 48 50 51

Recovery and Parentage

Severely injured by Danzo's actions, Naruto travels with Jiraiya and Senya to find Tsunade. During the journey, he learns that Minato and Kushina were his parents and regains his drive to become strong. 59 60

Rōran Time Displacement
