At that moment, a tremor ran through the floor beneath his feet. Luke felt The Clover airship beginning to turn.
They had barely stepped outside before someone landed on top of them. Turning back immediately was indeed the wisest decision.
As the enormous airship adjusted its flight posture, shifting air pressure on either side of the hull stirred up turbulent currents, making the top deck shake even more violently.
Taking advantage of the mage in front of him losing his footing, Luke drove off with explosive force. Man and sword shot forward together. The blade tip shrieked as it tore through the air, its gleam darting like a shuttle, while he became a streaking afterimage.
The mage locked in his attack took a step back, pointed his Magic Wand ahead, and chanted a short spell. The wand tip flashed, and an arc of light spread outward, forming an eggshell-like magical shield.
Before the eggshell shield could fully form, Luke and his sword had already struck. The sword tip and its radiating edge stabbed into the shield's light membrane, driving its surface inward.
Yet they failed to pierce through.
As his sword momentum ran out, Luke flipped backward, evading a magical fireball launched by the mage beside him.
The strength of these mages took Luke somewhat by surprise.
Even without their information, based on his many years of gaming experience, Luke estimated that every one of these mages was at least three-star.
Moreover, mage was a noble class. Aside from a few truly pathetic heroes, a mage's actual strength always warranted another half-star.
Three and a half stars? Four stars? Four and a half?
To conceal Clear Sky's strength, Luke had many powerful skills he could not use. Relying solely on sword techniques, he apparently could not kill these mages in
