After dinner, Lin Feng led Itachi to the spacious courtyard, where they sat down to talk. As Itachi's biggest fan, Lin Feng had so much he wanted to say.

In six months, the Uchiha would plot a rebellion. Shisui Uchiha planned to stop them with Kotoamatsukami, but Danzo ambushed him and stole his right eye.
After Danzo's attack, Shisui Uchiha entrusted his left eye's strongest Genjutsu, Kotoamatsukami, and his ninja way to Itachi. He then made it look as if he had destroyed his own eye before killing himself. Itachi witnessed Shisui's death and successfully awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan.
