Background / History

Shisui was initially a Konoha-loyal Uchiha who feared that the clan’s planned coup would turn the village into a battlefield and invite invasion by hostile nations. His intended solution was to use Kotoamatsukami to pacify the clan, but Sasuke persuaded him to consider an Uchiha Hokage and to withhold the coup’s details from Konoha’s leadership. 8

He became Sasuke’s principal trainer outside Team Kakashi, overseeing weighted-belt exercises, taijutsu, Body Flicker practice, and later the Uchiha Style: Gale Sword. Patient but demanding, Shisui recognized Sasuke’s unusual drive for power and eventually pledged to protect the Uchiha Clan beside him. 6 19 32

Danzo’s attempt to seize Shisui’s Mangekyō Sharingan confirmed Sasuke’s warnings about Konoha’s leadership.
