But after dealing with the Tailed Beast Bomb, the Wood Golem did not pause in the slightest. It immediately strode toward Shukaku.
Although the Wood Golem was far larger than Shukaku, it moved incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, it had arrived before him, spreading its enormous hands and reaching down to seize Shukaku from above.
Seeing the massive Wood Golem trying to capture him, Shukaku instinctively spread his limbs to evade. Unfortunately, though he was a tanuki, his movements were nowhere near as nimble as one. Before the gigantic Wood Golem, he instead appeared exceedingly clumsy.
Shukaku's body was made of sand. While such a structure gave him formidable defense and offensive power, it also made his body too heavy, sacrificing speed and agility!
With Shukaku's immense size, combined with long-range attacks such as Air Bullets and Tailed Beast Bombs, he had originally been a tank capable of fighting at both close and long range. Thus, when facing enemies smaller than himself, the weakness of his slow speed had been concealed.
But now, against a Wood Golem whose size and strength far exceeded his own, that sluggish speed became a fatal weakness!
The Wood Golem barely needed any effort to seize Shukaku by the tail, then lifted him upside down from the ground in one swift motion.

Dangling upside down in midair, Shukaku shouted threats as he wildly flailed his limbs in struggle. But his short limbs could not reach the Wood Golem's body, making the scene look rather comical. Ignoring the sizes of the two combatants, Shukaku looked like a small animal being toyed with by a giant brute.
