Nawaki's Counterplan

The news that Konoha's Shinobi Army had fallen into a difficult situation on the Land of Wind battlefield had long since spread throughout the Shinobi World.

Everyone believed that Skywalker would inevitably sink into the quagmire of war this time, while Konoha would bleed continuously and might even be dragged down completely. Every nation watched eagerly, waiting for Konoha to grow weak before swarming in to cast it into the abyss—or tear it to pieces.

While no one held any hope for him, Nawaki remained as steady as a mountain, certain of victory. Over the past month, aside from handling defensive security, he had not been idle. In truth, he had been preparing the key to breaking the deadlock. As long as the plan succeeded, he could immediately turn the tide of the war and completely resolve the problem in the Land of Wind.

However, that key was not on the battlefield. It required means beyond warfare, so there was no telling when the plan would be completed.

Before then, in order to calm the increasingly unstable emotions of the Shinobi Army under his command, Nawaki still needed to make tactical adjustments to counter Sunagakure's guerrilla forces.
