Hinata, Kurotsuchi, and Suigetsu were startled by the sudden surge of chakra from Aoyun. Trembling, Suigetsu said, "We're dead this time. Power that strong is bound to flatten this place. What do we do? What do we do?"

Although Kurotsuchi was frightened too, she did not panic like Suigetsu. She gave him a disgusted look and said, "What a coward. The worst that can happen is death. Getting this scared is just embarrassing."

Stung by Kurotsuchi's taunt, Suigetsu snapped angrily, "Who said I'm afraid of dying? Me, afraid of death? What a joke."

Kurotsuchi said scornfully, "If you're not afraid of dying, why are you trembling? Why are you breaking out in a cold sweat?"

Suigetsu replied, "Who says trembling and sweating means I'm afraid of dying? I'm just scared of that Dragon! How does that mean I'm afraid of death? Besides, even if this place gets flattened, that doesn't necessarily mean I'll die. I've got incredible vitality, you know."

Remembering Suigetsu's ability to turn his body into water, Kurotsuchi realized that he really might not be so easy to kill. Still, his behavior baffled her. She shook her head and thought, Forget it. There's no point arguing with this guy when his logic makes no sense. Dealing with this barrier comes first. Everything else can wait.

Kurotsuchi formed hand seals and said, "We're out of time. All we can do is see whether we can break through this barrier by force. Water Release: Water Impact!" Several jets of water shot out from behind her toward the gate. Ripples spread across its barrier, but the jets failed to pierce it.

Not only did the attack fail to pierce the barrier, but the barrier reflected Kurotsuchi's Water Impact back at her. She dodged several jets, but one still grazed her arm.
