The young man did not answer. Instead, he stared blankly at Hokage Rock. After a while, the boy asked again, "What's wrong, Mr. Sasuke?"
Young Sasuke replied, "Boruto, look at Hokage Rock up ahead."
The boy-no, Boruto-looked toward Hokage Rock and exclaimed in surprise, "This still isn't our own era! What's going on, Mr. Sasuke?"
Young Sasuke shook his head. "I'm not sure, but one thing is certain: this isn't the era we came from. This should be a year or two after Lady Tsunade, the Fifth Hokage, took the Hokage position. Look, the Fifth's face has only just been finished."
Boruto studied the Fifth's face carefully. "You're right. When we went after Urashiki before, Granny Tsunade's face wasn't on Hokage Rock yet. And this one looks really new, so it must have just been finished. That means we're still a long way from our own era. What's going on?"
Young Sasuke replied, "Boruto, ask that turtle. He should know what happened."
