After leaving the Hokage Office, Naruto parted ways with Kakashi and the others and headed straight for the Forest of Death. At the entrance, he found Sasuke already waiting for him. Naruto smiled. "Hey, Sasuke, I didn't expect you to get here so early. Have you been waiting long?"
"I only just got here myself," Sasuke replied casually. "Let's go. They should already be waiting for us inside the Forest of Death."
Naruto nodded and entered the Forest of Death with Sasuke. Before long, they found Young Naruto, Young Sasuke, Boruto, and Sarada waiting there. Naruto smiled. "Hehe, sorry we're late. I had to give Granny Tsunade a report."
Young Naruto smiled. "It's fine. I'm just curious why you asked us to meet you here."
Naruto smiled. "Nothing much. We just wanted to give Boruto and Sarada something."
Young Sasuke looked skeptical. "You needed somewhere this secluded just to give them gifts?"
"We did prepare gifts for them," Sasuke replied. "But these gifts are a little special. We can't let too many people know about them. There are too many eyes and ears in the village, and certain people might see them as a threat. It's better to do it here."
Young Naruto and Young Sasuke immediately understood whom Sasuke meant by "certain people," but neither said it aloud. Boruto, however, asked curiously, "What are you giving Sarada and me? Why all the secrecy?"
Sasuke seemed especially fond of Boruto. He smiled. "Don't be so impatient. You won't be disappointed. You'll like them." With that, he glanced at Naruto. Naruto returned his glance in silent understanding, and both nodded before each took out a container.
