After Naruto left the arena, the electronic board began flashing again. When it stopped, the names displayed were Gaara and a female Genin from the Land of Rain named Chibo Longying.
Gekko Hayate announced, "The second match: Gaara versus Chibo Longying."
As soon as Gekko Hayate finished speaking, Gaara appeared in the arena with his gourd on his back. He stared coldly at Chibo Longying and said, "I hope you'll make killing you enjoyable."
Chibo Longying watched Gaara warily. Gaara attacked first, sending a mass of sand pouring out of his gourd toward her. After dodging several attacks, Chibo Longying threw a few kunai with explosive tags attached. Gaara's sand blocked the kunai, setting off a massive explosion.
Chibo Longying looked toward the center of the explosion and saw Gaara completely encased in sand. The explosive tags had not harmed him at all.
Gaara continued attacking Chibo Longying with his sand. She had no choice but to keep dodging his attacks. Fortunately, the sand was not particularly fast.
Watching the merciless Gaara from the upper level, Naruto said, "Gaara really is cold-blooded. It's just a match, but he's going all out."
Dark Naruto suddenly appeared and said, "I like Gaara's personality. Cold enough, ruthless enough. Hahaha! That woman, Chibo Longying, will be killed by him soon. Just thinking about it gets me excited."
"You're seriously twisted," Naruto replied. "You could give Orochimaru a run for his money."
