Naruto unleashed a Tailed Beast Rasenshuriken. Chakra of nine different attributes erupted at once, warping the entire surface of the ground and killing or injuring countless seventh- and eighth-rank demon beasts.
Then Sasuke made his move. His Rinnegan spun wildly as he formed hand seals. "Fire Release: Phoenix Flower Jutsu! Amaterasu!" After casting the Phoenix Flower Jutsu, Sasuke used Amaterasu to replace its ordinary flames.
Amaterasu's special ability was that anything touched by even a wisp of its flames would burn to ashes. The flames could not be extinguished.
Sasuke's Amaterasu flames rained down on the demon beasts like a meteor shower. No matter how they resisted, the beasts could not put them out. Even those that tried to help were caught up in the disaster and burned to death.
Seeing Sasuke use Amaterasu so inventively filled Naruto with envy. Although he also possessed the Rinnegan, he had only acquired it after receiving Sasuke's power of Indra. Naruto's own skill with the Rinnegan was downright pathetic. Just as Sasuke had received Naruto's power of Asura, he mostly treated it as a supplementary boost. Madara Uchiha had been much the same. He had acquired the First Hokage's Wood Release and could use it, but it was nowhere near as natural to him as his Rinnegan, so he mostly treated it as an additional boost.
Of course, even such a supplementary ability could be impressive against weaker opponents, as when Madara Uchiha had fought the Five Kage. Against someone of comparable strength, however, it would not do. Hadn't Madara Uchiha never used Wood Release when fighting the First Hokage?
The strength Naruto and Sasuke displayed left Sun Kuang speechless with shock. Seeing how stunned everyone was, Naruto smiled with a hint of smugness. "Well? Sasuke and I aren't bad, are we?"
