Background / History

Qian Xunji served as Pope of Martial Soul Hall and stood with the cardinals to receive Bibi Dong when she returned from Slaughter City with Lin Yuan. He immediately recognized Lin Yuan as unusual and attempted to place the child under the hall elders' control, but Bibi Dong rejected him and declared that she would raise Lin Yuan herself. 6 7

As Lin Yuan's talent and Bibi Dong's influence grew, Qian Xunji viewed both as threats to his authority. At Lin Yuan's martial soul awakening ceremony, he deliberately placed Lin Yuan last on the roster and secretly used Angelic divine power to suppress or destroy the child's awakening, intending to humiliate Bibi Dong before the major factions. The scheme failed when Lin Yuan's Nine-Nether Ao power devoured the Angelic divine power. 9 10 11

After learning of Lin Yuan's Innate Soul Power of level twenty and extraordinary combat potential, Qian Xunji attempted to take him from Bibi Dong and cultivate him personally in the Pope's Palace. Bibi Dong refused again, publicly confronting him over both his incompetence and his past abuse of her. 20 21

By the time of the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Tournament, Qian Xunji had become convinced that Bibi Dong and Lin Yuan would displace him. He gathered Golden Crocodile Douluo and several Title Douluo loyalists to attack the Saintess Palace and apprehend them. 75 76

During the confrontation, Bibi Dong exposed his abuse of power, including the assault that resulted in Qian Renxue's birth, the embezzlement of Martial Soul Hall pensions, and his neglect of branch-hall appeals. His supporters abandoned him after his inability to refute the accusations. 76

Qian Xunji made a final stand with his Six-Winged Angel martial soul and Angel Sword, but Bibi Dong destroyed his martial soul, crippled his meridians and cultivation, and ordered him imprisoned for life. 77

He was later broken out of prison by an unidentified powerhouse whose black mist overcame Bibi Dong's Rakshasa God power.
