Background / History

Tang San was Yu Xiaogang's direct disciple in Nuoding City. Possessing Innate Full Soul Power and Twin Martial Souls, he reached level 30 at twelve, which convinced Yu Xiaogang that Tang San would validate his martial-soul theories. Yu Xiaogang brought him to Martial Soul City to demand Bibi Dong's Twin Martial Souls cultivation method. 40

Yu Xiaogang challenged Lin Yuan through Tang San, wagering that Tang San would win the cultivation method. Tang San entered the fight as a level 31 Soul Elder with Blue Silver Grass, but Lin Yuan's abnormal purple-purple-black soul-ring configuration and Nine-Nether Ao bloodline overwhelmed him. Tang San's hidden weapons were devoured by Shadow Devour, and Lin Yuan ended the match with a single punch. 44 45 46

The defeat undermined Tang San's faith in Yu Xiaogang's teachings. After being expelled from Martial Soul City alongside his teacher, he asked to be left alone, creating a clear rift in their master-disciple relationship. 47 48
