Background / History

Born with innate level 20 soul power, Qian Renxue was regarded as Martial Soul Hall's greatest genius and the hope of the Qian family. She operated undercover in the Heaven Dou Empire as Crown Prince Xue Qinghe, bearing both political responsibilities and the expectations of Martial Soul Hall. 1 2

Five years before the story, her soul power began vanishing inexplicably. It fell from the Soul King realm to Soul Elder, then eventually to level 3 despite cultivation, heavenly treasures, examinations by Martial Soul Hall, and even Qian Daoliu's Angel God's baptism. 1

After Qian Daoliu announced his intent to strip her soul bones and transfer the Angel God Suit to Qian Ye, Qian Renxue retreated into despair. Ling Xiao then revealed himself as the remnant soul in her sea of consciousness and admitted that his presence had caused her power loss. Though furious, she accepted his offer of compensation and knelt to become his disciple in pursuit of restoring her cultivation. 1 2 3

Ling Xiao first helped evolve her Martial Soul rather than immediately restoring her soul power. The resulting Twelve-Winged Angel restored the elders' interest in her potential, but Qian Renxue concealed that her cultivation had not recovered, taking private satisfaction in their renewed disappointment after years of neglect. 6 7 8

She later returned to Heaven Dou City as Xue Qinghe, visited the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well with Ling Xiao, and shifted her priorities away from court administration toward cultivation and combat training. Personality

Qian Renxue begins the story devastated by the loss of her cultivation and by what she sees as her family's abandonment. Her years of forced composure under political pressure give way to open rage when she learns that Ling Xiao caused her decline. 1 2

She is determined, proud, and unwilling to surrender what she considers hers. During the Martial Soul evolution, she resolves to become strong enough that no one can take anything from her again. 6 This resolve grows into a rebellious streak: after hiding the truth of her recovery plan from the elders, she enjoys watching their expectations collapse. 8
