• Percival received Yaken’s request to delay handing over Drywater District and learned that Iris would arrive to revive worship of the Goddess of Magic.
• Fran took charge of Wall District, organized residents to clear the ruins, and helped a converted mage become a Territory Mage.
• Iris’s attempt to win over residents in Dragon Head District faltered, while Aolain’s disguised Church strategy in Withered Flow District also failed.
• Fran’s group secretly advanced to six Territory Mages, and Fran leaked information about the district’s limit to pressure the Command Council to approve expansion.

Fran contained Azali, deciphered the Black Stone Slab, and prepared to leave White Dragon Port for the Champion Mage Challenge. The Elephant of Mountains Sect’s assault failed, while Fran arrived at Number Three Floating City and Harbos began searching for her.

• Fran used her Divine Power Bracelet to separate the Abyssal presence from David, then discovered the trapped High Demon and bargained with him for knowledge about demons and the Black Stone Slab.
• Fran tested the slab’s incantation through Lai, learned it could unleash a destructive purple shockwave, and negotiated further information from the demon, whom she later named Azali.
• Fran prepared Bohan for a possible Elephant of Mountains Sect attack while Boao arranged a prayer room, and Lai secretly set up alchemical devices to interrupt the Sect’s Divine Descent.
• The Elephant of Mountains appeared over Bohan, but Lai triggered her devices and collapsed, and afterward, the city’s leaders found Boao dead and the Sect’s threat had subsided.
• Fran trapped Azali’s consciousness, forced him to explain Abyssal Script, and translated the slab’s warning that whoever smashed it would become the Greater Demon Marius’s vessel.

Fran competed in the Champion Mage Challenge under Philly’s identity, drawing attention from the Felistin Family and a covert plot to stop her. She also learned that Radiance wanted her help reclaiming a Sun Domain fragment, while “Philly” advanced into the knockout stage.

• Timothy put Alliance mages to work restoring his plantation, while Nora arrived in Number Three Floating City and learned that Philly had qualified for the tournament.
• Fran stunned the crowd with fast Greater Fireballs, then courted publicity by insulting her opponents and presenting herself as the tournament’s strongest duelist.
• The Felistin Family investigated Philly’s identity, concluded the contestant was their missing relative, and failed to persuade the committee to disqualify her.
• Ivan and Ruge arranged a covert attack using six Second Order Mages, while Camilla visited Fran and learned that Philly was under Fran’s control.
• Fran advanced through the Group Stage, defeating opponents with Greater Fireball and Pyroblast as her fame and betting interest grew.

As the Lord of Radiance’s proxy, Lai massacred the demon conspirators and faced a God of War representative, who recruited Spirit Realm Professionals for a coming confrontation.

• Fran defeated Elton and then overwhelmed her semifinal opponent, while Nathanael investigated the Felistin Family’s attack on her.
• Russell gave Ferdinand the Anti-Magic Edict and advised him to challenge Fran to a Knight’s Duel, but Fran beat him and won the championship in sixteen minutes.
• Fran disappeared after the final and later told Harbos and Iris that she was on Number Nine Floating City researching time-related Alchemy Devices.
• Fran persuaded Harbos to stop searching for her and planned to leave the Territory Mage Working Group for the Lohan Archipelago, while reflecting that events favored Number Three Floating City’s fall.
• Lai killed Oscar and the demon collaborators, then unleashed a wave of blood through the city as demons flooded the Riverway.
