After three disappointing rounds, Amada continued with his fourth ten-pull of green draws.
"I have to get something good!"
He kept praying silently.
Finally, on the fifth pull, a dazzling blue light suddenly blazed.
"It's blue! Finally, I got a blue one!"
Amada felt a little helpless. It had taken five ten-pulls of green draws just to get one blue item. The odds were pretty low.
He eagerly looked at the item radiating blue light. It was a mysterious orb.
The moment Amada's fingertip lightly touched the orb, a stream of information flooded straight into his mind.
"The genjutsu training insights of the adult Kurenai Yuhi?"
"This is good stuff!"
Amada was overjoyed.
What made him even happier was that these insights didn't come in the form of a dull book.
Instead, they could be absorbed directly into his mind, allowing him to instantly grasp their essence.
Without the slightest hesitation, Amada focused his thoughts and chose to absorb these precious Illusion Technique insights.
In an instant, a powerful, electric-like sensation surged through his brain.
A wealth of Illusion Technique skills and theories flooded into his consciousness.
The complex principles behind Illusion Techniques, the sophisticated methods of chakra control, and the various strategies for handling real combat situations—
All of it became crystal clear, as though he had spent countless hours studying and practicing until he knew it all by heart.
Amada closed his eyes tightly, immersed in this sudden deluge of knowledge.
His brows furrowed and relaxed by turns, and his expression shifted as the knowledge continued pouring into his mind.
After a long while, Amada slowly opened his eyes, confidence gleaming in them.
He clenched his fists, his heart brimming with anticipation for the future.
"With these insights, my Illusion Technique skills are sure to improve by leaps and bounds!"
Amada took a few deep breaths, calming himself down a little.
After briefly savoring the moment, Amada decided to press on and use up his remaining two ten-pulls of green draws.
"Even if I don't get anything good from the rest, these Illusion Technique insights alone made this draw worthwhile."
Amada reassured himself silently, while also harboring a faint hope that more surprises might come his way.
Besides, he could still break down the green items he'd drawn earlier and save up for more green draws, at least recouping some of his losses.
With that in mind, Amada started his sixth ten-pull of green draws.
However, when the results were revealed, it was as expected: another mix of green and white items.
Though he felt a little disappointed, Amada had been prepared for this.
He sighed softly, quickly composed himself, and readied himself for the final draw.
"Come on, last one!"
At his command, the lottery wheel began spinning again.
At first, it flickered between green and blue light.
Just as Amada was beginning to think this draw would be ordinary too,
a dazzling purple light suddenly burst from the wheel without warning.
"Holy crap!"
Amada couldn't help swearing, his voice full of disbelief.
He never would have thought a purple item could appear in a ten-pull of green draws.
Coming to his senses, Amada eagerly took the purple-quality item from the Lottery System.
A delicate container appeared in his hand, holding a cup of pale golden liquid speckled with starlight.
As the container moved, the tiny points of light seemed to come alive, gently swaying and flickering like something from a dream.
Amada carefully lifted the cup. The moment he touched it, the system transmitted its information into his mind.
It was the Spectator Potion from Lord of the Mysteries, a Sequence 9 potion from the Visionary pathway.
Amada was delighted at first. After all, this was a mysterious item from another world, and drawing it was unquestionably an incredible stroke of luck.
But a moment later, his brows knitted slightly, and a trace of confusion appeared in his eyes.
"This is definitely a good item, but I remember that in the original story, Sequence 9 Spectators didn't seem to get much of a boost to their abilities. By rights, it doesn't seem rare enough to be purple quality. It feels like it'll be less useful to me than the Kurenai Yuhi Illusion Technique insights I just got."
Amada murmured to himself, looking at the potion in his hand.
He kept recalling the various descriptions of the Spectator in Lord of the Mysteries, and the more he thought about them, the more puzzled he became.
However, Amada didn't dwell on it for long.
"Forget it. I shouldn't overthink it. Just getting something this good means I've hit the jackpot.
"If the system rated it as purple quality, it must have its reasons. Maybe it'll have an unexpectedly powerful effect in this world."
Amada kept his eyes fixed on the Spectator Potion, his mind awash with thoughts.
After thinking it over for a long while, Amada stopped hesitating and decided to drink the potion.
Although he knew something about the Spectator's abilities from the original Lord of the Mysteries,
reading about them and experiencing them firsthand were two different things, and Amada was eager to find out what it would be like.
Taking a deep breath, Amada lifted the potion and downed it in one gulp without the slightest hesitation.
In an instant, the potion turned into a cool stream of energy and flowed down his throat.
Then the energy surged toward his brain.
Amada felt his mind clear, as if a door sealed for ages were slowly opening.
Wrapped in that cool sensation, Amada's gaze instinctively swept across his surroundings.
For a moment, he felt as though the entire world had emerged from the gloom and become crystal clear.
The faint textures on the walls and the dust floating in the air all stood out with unprecedented clarity.
Yet a moment later, everything seemed to return to normal.
Amada blinked and licked his lips. Aside from that brief burst of visual clarity,
he couldn't feel any other obvious changes.
"What's going on? Is that it?"
Amada muttered to himself, though he had a vague sense that it couldn't be that simple.
Though his first experience with a purple item had left him a little disappointed,
Amada quickly composed himself, collected his thoughts, and headed out to the training ground he visited most often.
When he arrived, Amada fixed his gaze on the tall, sturdy training tree.
The tree had witnessed him grow from clumsy and inexperienced to the skilled shinobi he was now.
He could already climb to the top of the tree with ease, as if walking on level ground.
Today, he focused his training on increasing the speed at which he gathered chakra.
Amada slowly closed his eyes, cleared his mind, and concentrated.
In an instant, chakra gathered beneath his feet.
It happened so quickly that it far exceeded his expectations, startling even Amada himself.
"What's going on? Why am I improving so fast? I couldn't gather chakra this quickly yesterday."
Amada looked bewildered, surprise glinting in his eyes.
His mind immediately returned to the Spectator Potion he had drunk earlier. Could that mysterious potion have taken effect without him realizing it?
With this suspicion in mind, Amada wasted no time trying other training exercises.
During chakra refinement, he was delighted to discover that he could refine chakra much faster than he could the day before.
And thanks to adult Kurenai Yuhi's Illusion Technique training insights,
his understanding and use of Illusion Techniques had reached a whole new level.
The principles behind Illusion Techniques that had once seemed obscure were now crystal clear to him;
he could now perform Illusion Technique skills that had once been difficult to execute with ease.
However, when he moved on to physical training, Amada found that nothing had changed.
He continued to run, jump, and perform other exercises at his usual intensity,
and his physical exhaustion and improvements in stamina were much the same as always.
He hadn't made anything like the marked progress he'd seen in his chakra-related abilities.
Even without any change in his physical training, the huge improvements to his chakra and Illusion Techniques had Amada thrilled.
