Uchiha Nagi's Strength

"Eri, don't tell Uchiha Mikoto about the team yet," Uchiha Nagi reminded her.

The matter wasn't settled yet. It would be even more embarrassing if word got out and then fell through.

"I understand. Once the team's finalized, I'll go see little Mikoto," Uchiha Eri said, winking at Uchiha Nagi.

"I'm telling you, Mikoto's a real beauty, and she has a wonderful personality, too."

Uchiha Nagi's mouth twitched. "What are you thinking? I'm only ten!"

"Ten isn't that young. I'm telling you, you need to get a good girl while she's still young. Once you're grown up, you might not get the chance," Eri said with utmost seriousness.

Uchiha Nagi was speechless, though Eri was right.

Take Uzumaki Kushina and Uchiha Mikoto, for example. They'd both gotten married quite young, at most in their early twenties. In his previous life, people that age hadn't even finished school yet.

Especially Uchiha Mikoto. If she was two years older than him, then she would have been only twenty-one when she gave birth to Uchiha Itachi...

By that reckoning, she must have married very young.

"Shouldn't you be the one thinking about this, rather than me?" Uchiha Nagi countered, raising an eyebrow.

"Me? I'm in no hurry. Plenty of people are after your big sister, you know? And I'm not worried about finding a husband."

Eri paid no mind to such things. Right now, all she cared about was helping Uchiha Nagi grow stronger. She had no time for romance.

"Tsk." For some reason, Uchiha Nagi felt a little annoyed at that.

"Why don't you just wait a few more years? Once I'm grown up, you can marry me," Uchiha Nagi said jokingly.

"Hey! What are you saying, you little brat?"

Eri furrowed her brow and pretended she was about to hit Uchiha Nagi, but when her fist landed on him, it had no force behind it at all.

Uchiha Nagi pretended to be hurt. "Well, I think you really should consider it, Eri."

With that, he saw Uchiha Eri about to "get angry" again and hurried out of the room to continue training.

"That little brat, flirting with his big sister!" Uchiha Eri muttered.

Then she couldn't help thinking about the idea he'd suggested. She would marry little Nagi?

Just imagining herself in a wedding dress beside a grown man who looked a lot like Uchiha Nagi made Eri feel shy. She covered her flushed face.

"This is all little Nagi's fault, saying things like that. But..." Eri suddenly felt a little uneasy.

What if Uchiha Nagi hadn't been joking?

Uchiha Nagi, meanwhile, wasn't thinking that deeply. What he'd said hadn't been entirely a joke. He didn't want Uchiha Eri to marry anyone else, either.

"I guess I am being a little selfish."

Uchiha Nagi assessed himself. But wasn't it normal for a person to have a few selfish desires?

Besides, he admitted that he definitely wasn't a particularly generous person.

As he trained, Uchiha Nagi reviewed every jutsu he knew. Listed out, they were:

These were all the achievements Uchiha Nagi had racked up over the past few years!

Konoha was just too peaceful, which meant he rarely got the chance to see powerful ninjutsu firsthand.

Even the B-rank Fire Release techniques he'd copied were thanks to his frequent visits to the Uchiha Clan Compound. The Uchiha were known for their Fire Release, so he'd had plenty of opportunities to learn from them.

He hadn't had the same luck with Wind Release or Lightning Release.

As for specialized techniques like genjutsu and the Hell Viewing Technique, he'd learned them from Uchiha Eri.

Under normal circumstances, he couldn't learn genjutsu by copying it with the Sharingan.

Not because the Sharingan couldn't do it, but because almost no one ever used genjutsu in front of him.

Even the Shadow Clone Technique he'd been longing to learn was thanks to Kushina.

He'd merely told her what the Shadow Clone Jutsu could do. Sure enough, before long, Kushina used it in front of him to show off.

That was how he'd learned the Shadow Clone Technique.

Still, he couldn't really say he'd taken advantage of her. It was a good thing for Kushina, too.

She'd started using the Shadow Clone Technique to train, and she was definitely stronger than her counterpart at the same point in the original story.

He'd learned Strength of a Hundred from Tsunade. Whenever she got angry, she would unconsciously smash the table, and Uchiha Nagi had seen it happen more than once.

His chakra control hadn't been good enough before. Only after he copied the Mystical Palm Technique at the hospital and used it to train his chakra control could he just barely pull it off.

Even so, the power he could manage was still a far cry from Tsunade's.

That proved he still needed to work on his chakra control.

As for the Rasengan, there was no need to say much. With his current chakra control and the precise steps already known to him, learning it had been very easy.

The only downside was that he could use a fully formed Rasengan only two or three times before he was completely spent.

In other words, he couldn't use the Rasengan as casually as Uzumaki Naruto did. He could only save it as a trump card.

A ten-year-old body simply didn't have enough chakra.

Uchiha Nagi also estimated his combat strength on paper. He was probably at the level of a Special Jōnin.

With his Sharingan, Strength of a Hundred, and the Rasengan, he might be able to take down an ordinary Jōnin if he caught them by surprise.

But that was about it. He didn't even know how much of his estimated strength he could bring out in a real fight.

After all, he was still a complete rookie.

He had very little combat experience. When he got the chance, he usually only sparred with Namikaze Minato.

How could a sparring match with rules compare to a fight to the death?

So Uchiha Nagi figured he'd better lower his expectations. If he ran into a Special Jōnin, escaping should be his first priority.

If he came across a Chunin, he could try taking them on. He'd wait until he had more combat experience before going after a Special Jōnin.

He only had one life, so he had to be careful—very, very careful.

After making this decision who knew how many times, Uchiha Nagi continued training.

He needed to build up his physique as quickly as possible.

The things holding back his strength were his physical fitness and chakra reserves.

If he could keep his current ninjutsu skills and bring his body up to the level of an eighteen-year-old, he could naturally reach Jōnin level.

He was confident of that.

Unfortunately, physical growth didn't happen overnight, especially when his body hadn't finished developing.

Even though he'd followed Tsunade's advice and trained in Taijutsu as intensely as he could, it was still the same.
