Background / History

Kamizuki is Mikoto's twin brother. Their parents died while they were young; their father had been Konoha's foremost ninja blade smith and the jonin known as Crimson Moon. Orochimaru had promised their parents that he would guide Kamizuki, eventually accepting him as a disciple. 6 10

At nine years old, Kamizuki attended Konoha's Ninja Academy despite his reputation as an Uchiha who supposedly lacked chakra. He was visibly taller than his peers, openly hostile toward classmates such as Nawaki and Hiashi, and unwilling to conceal either his opinions or his strength. 2 3 6

He publicly defeated Fugaku through taijutsu, exposing the extraordinary physical power granted by his Heavenly Restriction. Orochimaru recognized the ability and began training him in taijutsu, swordsmanship, and medical knowledge. 4 5 7

His confidence is rooted in a long-term conviction rather than a belief that he is always presently unbeatable: he accepts temporary gaps in power because he believes he will inevitably become the strongest through combat and growth. 150

Despite his ruthlessness, Kamizuki is deeply protective of people he considers his own. His refusal to join Madara's Eye of the Moon Plan comes from his desire to protect his loved ones with his own strength and live peacefully beside them. 231 He also avoids needless slaughter when possible, choosing isolated battlefields so uninvolved people will not be caught in his attacks. 103
