They still did not know that Fugaku's Mangekyō had limits, fundamentally different from Uchiha Madara's Eternal Mangekyō.

He could even openly brand the entire Uchiha clan as rogue ninja and seize Uchiha Fugaku's pair of Mangekyō Sharingan in the process.

It would be killing several birds with one stone. Shimura Danzō would win big.

Of course, he had not even considered the most crucial question: what if they could not defeat the Uchiha?

In his eyes, no matter what, the Uchiha could never be a match for all of Konoha.

As long as he became Hokage, everything would get better.

The one who helped Sarutobi Hiruzen out was Genya.

Seeing that Fugaku had finally been unable to resist revealing his Mangekyō, Genya slowly rose to his feet and lightly patted his clan head's shoulder.

"Alright, Clan Head, calm down. We came here today to handle serious business."

He truly feared that Fugaku, after seeing all his predictions come true, would start things off with Susanoo right then and there.

That would mean overturning the board completely. With him included, the Uchiha were not incapable of winning, but even if they did, the losses would likely be devastating.

And a ruined Konoha did not serve his interests at all.

The Uchiha had Shisui, an unstable bomb, within their ranks, while outside there was Obito, who had been thoroughly led astray by Madara. It truly was not the time to tear all pretense apart with the village leadership.

Having awakened the system, he still needed time to steadily grow stronger.

With Genya's hand on his shoulder, Fugaku calmed down somewhat as well.

God knew how badly Fugaku had been shaken after everything that had just happened was predicted by Genya word for word.

Though he left control of the situation to Genya, Fugaku did not deactivate his Mangekyō. He continued glaring fiercely at Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzō.

The moment either of them made a suspicious move, he would suppress them without hesitation!

Genya's value had risen infinitely in his eyes. Fugaku's ocular power absolutely could not be wasted on meaningless disputes!

And Fugaku understood now that blindly yielding to the Hokage's faction would never make them let the Uchiha go.

Only by properly displaying their own deterrent power could they make those people speak reasonably.

Had he not seen how clear Sarutobi Hiruzen and Shimura Danzō's eyes had become the moment he revealed his Mangekyō Sharingan?

Now Shimura Danzō did not even dare let out a fart, terrified that Fugaku would turn his gaze toward him.

All the orders targeting the Uchiha had been issued by Sarutobi Hiruzen. He was merely the executor. If they had a grievance, they should go settle it with Sarutobi Hiruzen!

After taking on the task of negotiating, Genya immediately produced two documents.

"The first matter is Clan Head Fugaku's resignation today. From now on, Clan Head Fugaku will only be responsible for internal clan affairs and dealings with Konoha. As for the position of Captain of the Security Division, I will take over from this moment onward."

Upon hearing that, Sarutobi Hiruzen almost instinctively rejected it.

"How can that work? The captain of the Security Division must be appointed by the Hokage. How can you simply decide who it is?"

"Humph!"

The moment Sarutobi Hiruzen finished speaking, Fugaku gave a cold snort, and those overwhelmingly oppressive Mangekyō immediately fixed upon him.

Then once again, Genya stepped in to help him out.

"Clan Head, do not get worked up. Put away Susanoo for now."

"We are still negotiating. How can we beat them up right after finishing our negotiations?"

"If word gets out, people will think we Uchiha are an impolite clan."

Sweat immediately broke out across Sarutobi Hiruzen's forehead.

What did Uchiha Genya mean by that?

If they reached an agreement, they would not fight. Did that not also mean that if they failed to reach one, Susanoo would soon bloom inside the Hokage Building?

No matter how absurd the reasoning was, Fugaku still forcefully folded his arms, reluctantly accepting Genya's words.

Genya turned around at that moment, patted Sarutobi Hiruzen's shoulder, and said,

"Third Hokage, you saw it too. Those Mangekyō are right there in plain sight. I did not lie to you!"

"Our clan head has always been yielding for Konoha's sake, but today, he truly cannot endure it anymore."

"If I were not here, Susanoo would soon bloom over Konoha. Are you scared?"

Sarutobi Hiruzen froze, taking several seconds to realize that he was being threatened.

A young man not even twenty years old actually dared threaten him. Sarutobi Hiruzen felt deeply humiliated, his face nearly flushing red with anger.

But circumstances were stronger than him. A pair of Mangekyō were staring at him from only a few meters away. Who would not be rattled by that?

Genya continued speaking.

"Besides, the position of Captain of the Konoha Security Division has always been held by members of the Uchiha clan. Does it really matter who fills it?"

Only then did Sarutobi Hiruzen come to his senses.

What Genya said was indeed correct. As long as the captain of the Security Division remained an Uchiha, the relationship between the Uchiha and Konoha's villagers would remain tense, not to mention Genya's recent act of arresting someone in the street.

Given this Uchiha's arrogance and overbearing nature, the Uchiha would sooner or later push him out to quell public anger.

The reason Sarutobi Hiruzen had refused on the spot was entirely because Genya had not discussed it with him and had made the decision on his own, making him, the Third Hokage, feel thoroughly slighted.

Could you not have raised this at the Jonin Conference? It was not as though I would refuse.
