Wuji and Fu (Part 2)

"Sister Fu, what are we learning today? Are we still doing those bone-breaking drills? Please, don't beat me up again." As the new week began, Ye Wuji asked as soon as Fu arrived.

"Follow me today." Without further explanation, Fu led Ye Wuji to a waterfall about ten meters high, tucked away in a remote corner of the village.

"Today, I'll teach you some ninjutsu. Through my observations over these past few days, I've found that your chakra control is quite good, and your reserves are sufficient to learn some techniques. You already know about chakra, so now I'll teach you about chakra shape transformation and nature transformation." Fu stood in the water before the waterfall and spoke to Ye Wuji.

Fu explained before asking.

"I see. Then what happens if I don't have the Fire attribute but try to use a Fire Style jutsu?" Ye Wuji asked.

"Nothing much; the jutsu will simply fail. Of course, if you absolutely must use it, you could use Fire-attribute items like Explosive Tags, or use pre-sealed ninjutsu scrolls. You'll learn about those later. For now, let's test your chakra attribute." Fu then placed the paper in Ye Wuji's hand.

"So, how do I use this?" Ye Wuji asked, even though he already knew.

"Just release your chakra into the paper. If it's Fire, the paper will ignite; if it's Water, it will get wet; Wind will cut it in two; Lightning will wrinkle it; and Earth will crumble it. Come on, let me see your attribute."

"Right." Ye Wuji nodded vigorously, imagining the paper getting wet in one corner, wrinkled in another, catching fire, being sliced in half, and then crumbling in the middle—the legendary full-attribute affinity! Hahaha.

While Ye Wuji was lost in thought, reality was rarely so disappointing. He looked at the chakra paper in his hand, which had become damp, but there was no other reaction. Do I only possess the Water attribute?

"Now, I'll start by teaching you your first ninjutsu: the Water Clone Technique. Listen closely." Fu began to explain the hand seals, how to extract chakra, how to circulate it, and other essential points.

Under the waterfall, Fu taught and Ye Wuji learned, neither of them noticing two figures standing on a tree above the falls.

"Takikage-sama, is it really okay for Lady Fu to do this? Teaching our village's ninjutsu to them?" The two were the Takikage and, judging by the mask, an Anbu operative.

"It doesn't matter. Fu already told me. They are just basic techniques; these can be learned elsewhere. If Fu enjoys teaching, let her. Besides, she won't teach the village's secret techniques. "Indeed, Lady Fu rarely smiles so happily. If it makes her happy, she could even teach some other techniques."

"While Fu's happiness is important, we cannot betray the village's interests. This kid is not bad, though," the Takikage remarked, praising Ye Wuji as he successfully formed a Water Clone.

"Yes, according to our observations, this kid has extraordinary chakra control. His reserves might not be high, but his mental energy is very strong. He would make a fine sensory ninja in the future."

"When are they arriving? I don't feel safe with Fu here. It's better to have him stay in Sunagakure for a few years."

"According to the reports, the Third Kazekage is also concerned about this and has already sent people. Since the war is nearing its end, the Third Kazekage cannot leave the village, so he asks for your understanding, Takikage-sama. Ninjas from all nations are retreating to their borders. Once a winner is decided between Hanzo and the Sannin, the war will end, and negotiations will follow."

"I see. When will the doctor we requested return? The Daimyo's poison cannot be delayed. Have you checked the doctor's background?" the Takikage continued.

"It has been verified. He is a wandering doctor with superb medical skills who has been traveling through various countries to hone his craft and treat those in need. He has a high reputation, and we've found no issues. By the way, his name is Shennong."

"Tell the Anbu to bring the doctor back quickly. It must be done as soon as possible. We just replaced the Daimyo; we cannot afford to replace him again. It would be a laughingstock if the Land of Waterfalls couldn't even protect its own Daimyo," the Takikage said with a stern, reinforced tone.

"Yes, my lord. I will relay the order immediately."

"Very good. To be able to summon a clone in such a short time—not bad. Keep practicing. You must practice until the clone is indistinguishable from the real person. If a clone doesn't look like the original, it's not worth practicing."

So, the Clone Technique really is different, Ye Wuji thought. Comparing the technique Fu taught with the one Yahiko had shown him, the power was similar, and the seals were nearly identical, but the one Yahiko taught saved a bit more chakra, though not by much.

This time, Ye Wuji wasn't pretending; he had already practiced the Water Clone Technique. Although it was slightly different, it was mostly the same. Despite some minor issues, it didn't stump him.

A few days passed, and Ye Wuji became quite proficient with the Water Clone Technique. Fu then taught him another ninjutsu, which made Ye Wuji incredibly happy. This could be considered his first offensive ninjutsu in the Naruto World.

Water Style: Water Blade. Actually, it was just a Water Blade, not an Ice Blade. It involved condensing water into the shape of a kunai. The hand seals for this Water Style technique were very simple, but the chakra extraction and internal circulation were extremely complex. Even with Ye Wuji's chakra control, it took him three days just to barely form the shape, and it lacked the hardness to even cut through a wooden stick. However, when mastered, the ice kunai formed could clash with real ones. This was considered a secret technique of Takigakure; it seemed very few people in other nations knew it.

At first, Ye Wuji thought it was Ice Style, which had excited him—he thought Water Style could achieve the same effects as Ice Style, rendering the Yuki Clan's Kekkei Genkai nothing special. But the final result was that it was just Water Style, which left him quite disappointed.

And so, Ye Wuji continued to learn ninjutsu and taijutsu from Fu, occasionally sparring with her. Of course, just like when he practiced with the Fourth, Ye Wuji could only be beaten.
