Background / History

Ye Wuji was born on Earth with white hair and was abandoned shortly after birth. An elderly orphanage director found him at night, gave him the surname “Ye,” and named him “Wuji” after The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber. Isolated because others treated his hair as an ill omen, he became withdrawn and spent much of his life helping the director keep the failing orphanage running. 2

Unable to obtain stable work, Ye Wuji took hazardous manual jobs involving chemicals and paints without proper protection. At about twenty years old, he used his savings to rebuild the orphanage, but the unfinished building collapsed during what appeared to be an earthquake. He awoke reincarnated in the Naruto world. 2

In his new body, Ye Wuji awoke wounded in a canyon filled with corpses, including the young couple who had been holding him. The body’s parents had died protecting him. Jiraiya prevented Orochimaru from killing the unconscious child, while Minato Namikaze remained behind to care for him. 1 14

Ye Wuji has a youthful appearance and distinctive snow-white hair. Though he possesses memories from roughly two decades of life on Earth, he enters the ninja world in the body of a six-year-old child. 2 7

After two years of training, blacksmith work, and medical study in Takigakure, Ye Wuji leaves without a formal farewell.
