As the vehicle rolled slowly along, they drew ever closer to the location of the sixth Dragon Ball. The scenery shifted as they traveled, transitioning from dense forests to barren deserts, and finally to the fiery red expanse before them—Fire Mountain.
"Ah, look at that sunset!" Young Goku suddenly pointed at the crimson glow ahead and shouted, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and anticipation, as if he had discovered something wondrous.
"Wow, it's truly beautiful!" Bulma was also captivated by the sight and couldn't help but exclaim, the reflection of the flames dancing brightly in her eyes.
However, no sooner had the words left her lips than she realized something was amiss. "Wait, it's daytime. How could there be a sunset?" she muttered in confusion, her gaze fixed once more on the sea of red.
"Give me a break, that's not a sunset, that's Fire Mountain!" Oolong, who was driving, explained helplessly, a trace of terror creeping into his voice.
"Oolong, why are you stopping? Don't you want the antidote?" Zhou Zilong looked at Oolong's back and asked deliberately, knowing full well what the pig was afraid of.
"It's not that, Master Zilong, let's just take a detour! A terrifying demon lives on that Fire Mountain called the Ox-King. Not only is he incredibly powerful, but he also makes a living by robbing travelers like us!" Oolong's voice trembled as he stared fearfully at the wall of flames ahead.
Hearing Oolong's words, Zhou Zilong realized that this was indeed where the sixth Dragon Ball was located. Furthermore, according to the original plot, Young Goku was about to gain a fiancée thanks to a "kick of fate."
However, Bulma clung to Zhou Zilong's arm and spoke up directly, "Stop trying to scare us! Zilong's martial arts are so strong, he'll definitely be fine!"
Young Goku immediately chimed in, "That's right! Zilong's martial arts are amazing, there's nothing to worry about. Besides, after hearing what you said, I really want to try fighting this Ox-King!"
Their words were filled with trust and admiration for Zhou Zilong.
"Just keep driving!" Zhou Zilong said finally, signaling Oolong to continue. Though terrified, Oolong obeyed the order and pressed forward.
"Master Yamcha, we should really leave. The Ox-King is not someone we can afford to provoke!" Puar whispered a warning after listening to their conversation.
Yet, Yamcha remained unmoved, a cold smirk curling his lips. "No, we'll follow them. No matter how strong that kid is, he shouldn't be a match for the Ox-King. Once they've both exhausted themselves, we can swoop in and make a killing!"
Just as Yamcha prepared to move out, he encountered Chi-Chi, the future wife of Son Goku, just as in the original story, and knocked her unconscious exactly as the anime depicted.
At this moment, Oolong was struggling to navigate the vehicle along the rugged mountain path.
As the wheels turned, the group finally reached the heart of Fire Mountain. The surroundings were filled with broken walls and ruins; the village that once stood there was now nothing but rubble and scattered white skeletons, as if whispering of the tragedy that had occurred.
The vehicle came to a halt, and as the doors opened, a wave of heat rushed toward them like a wild beast.
Oolong couldn't help but frown. He quickly scrambled back into the car and turned on the air conditioning, trying to escape the suffocating heat.
Zhou Zilong reached into his backpack and pulled out a blue garment. It looked somewhat like tinfoil, but the texture was much tougher.
He handed it to Bulma and said, "This is a specially made fireproof suit. Put it on, and you'll be able to move freely on Fire Mountain!"
Bulma took the suit and quickly put it on. She looked at Zhou Zilong, asking with concern, "What about you? This suit only fits one person."
Zhou Zilong smiled and shook his head, his eyes filled with confidence. "Don't worry, Bulma. This temperature is nothing to me!"
The two began to search for the Dragon Ball separately.
"Goku, can you fly in and take a look?" After searching for a while without success, Bulma asked Young Goku to help check the castle surrounded by the raging inferno.
Young Goku nodded in agreement. "Don't worry, Bulma, I'm on it!"
With that, he leaped into the air, jumped onto the Flying Nimbus, and soared toward the castle.
However, the power of the flames exceeded Young Goku's expectations. After flying one lap, he was forced to retreat; the Flying Nimbus flickered unsteadily in the heat, and Young Goku had no choice but to abandon the search.
"It's no good, Bulma, the fire is too big, I can't get in!" Young Goku said, shaking his head as he flew back.
Bulma comforted him, "It's alright, we'll think of another way."
Just then, Oolong, sitting in the car, rolled down the window and grumbled discontentedly, "You two idiots, keep your voices down! It'll be a disaster if the Ox-King hears you!"
No sooner had Oolong finished speaking than a massive figure wearing a horned helmet emerged slowly from the flames.
Seeing this, Zhou Zilong immediately pulled Bulma behind him and shouted to Young Goku, "Goku, dodge to the right!"
At the same time Zhou Zilong shouted, the Ox-King swung the axe in his hand and hurled it toward them.
Zhou Zilong was quick-witted; he grabbed Bulma and jumped to the left. The axe whistled past them, slamming into a ruined building with a deafening crash.
After dodging the attack, Zhou Zilong quickly checked the Ox-King's stats:
Ox-King [Race] Earthling [Height] 4.6 meters [Weight] 330 kg [Potential Level] Common (3 (min) - 10 (max)) [Potential Value] 10 (Max combat power can reach 100) [Potential Development Progress] 80% [Combat Power] 80
"Damn it, how dare you ambush us! Take this!" Young Goku roared, leaping off the Flying Nimbus and charging toward the Ox-King.
