"Stop lying! Anyone who comes here is after my riches!" Ox-King replied distrustfully.
Seeing this, Zhou Zilong smiled faintly and pressed even harder with his fingers, sending a powerful force rebounding back at Ox-King.
"I stopped your attack with two fingers. Do you really think I need to lie to you?" Zhou Zilong said calmly.
Feeling the unfathomable power Zhou Zilong wielded, Ox-King was stunned. He pulled back his axe and took another look at the mysterious stranger. The two sides began introducing themselves.
Yamcha, who had been hoping to swoop in and take advantage, watched in surprise. "That guy is so strong? Even Ox-King can't beat him? Damn it. I'll have to find a way to get stronger!"
"Brother Zilong, where did you learn those skills?" Ox-King asked curiously.
"Actually, we studied under the same master. Master Roshi took me on as a disciple four years ago," Zhou Zilong replied.
Hearing this, Ox-King excitedly grabbed Zhou Zilong's hand. "Junior brother! So you're the disciple Master took on recently! How is he?"
"Master's in great shape. But he'll probably scold you for what you've been doing, senior brother!" Zhou Zilong said with a smile.
Ox-King scratched his head and replied sheepishly, "Junior brother, I was just confused for a moment. I promise I'll turn over a new leaf!"
After learning that the Flying Nimbus had already been given to Goku, Ox-King spoke up. "Goku, to put out the fire, I sent my daughter Chi-Chi to borrow the Basho Fan from Master Roshi. But I'm a little worried about her going alone, and I can't leave here. Could you take her to see Master Roshi?"
Young Goku agreed. "Sure!"
Ox-King added, "Chi-Chi's been spoiled since she was little, so please be patient with her when you meet. And, of course, it'd be fine if you made her your bride!"
Ox-King took out a photo of his daughter. It showed a very cute girl, and after taking a good look at her, Young Goku immediately set off on the Flying Nimbus to find Chi-Chi.
Meanwhile, Zhou Zilong cleared a spot among the rubble and sat down to wait.
Time passed, and the sun slowly sank toward the horizon. Thanks to his exceptional eyesight, Zhou Zilong finally spotted a familiar figure in the distance: Young Goku, racing toward them with a little girl.
Zhou Zilong turned to Ox-King beside him. "Senior brother, they're back. But it looks like they didn't manage to borrow the Basho Fan."
Ox-King looked a little disappointed.
Then Zhou Zilong added, "But Master Roshi came with Goku!"
Ox-King immediately brightened with hope.
Soon, Young Goku and Chi-Chi arrived, along with Master Roshi.
Ox-King hurried forward, dropped to his knees, and respectfully greeted his master. "Master Roshi, it's wonderful to see you again!"
Master Roshi looked down at Ox-King kneeling before him, a complicated look in his eyes. He sighed softly and said in a somewhat stern tone, "I never expected us to meet again like this, Ox-King. Your reputation hasn't been very good these past few years."
Ox-King's heart tightened. He quickly replied with sincerity, "I'm sorry for the trouble, Master. Starting today, I'll turn over a new leaf!"
Zhou Zilong walked over and greeted Master Roshi. "Master, I thought it would be a while longer before we met again. I didn't expect it to happen so soon!"
When Master Roshi saw Zhou Zilong, he said to Young Goku, "Goku, you should've told me you were with Zilong. Then I wouldn't have had to come all this way!"
Young Goku replied innocently, "You didn't ask!"
Ox-King got back to his feet and asked Master Roshi, "Master, are you saying my junior brother can put out the fire on Fire Mountain?"
"Of course! Zilong is the most talented person I've ever met. He's already surpassed me in strength!" Master Roshi replied proudly.
After hearing this, Ox-King went over to Zhou Zilong. "Junior brother, please help put out the fire!"
"Leave it to me," Zhou Zilong replied.
Just then, Chi-Chi, Young Goku's future wife, ran over and pleaded, "Big brother, please! Because this fire appeared out of nowhere, my dad and I haven't been able to go back to our castle for ages!"
Zhou Zilong ruffled Chi-Chi's hair and replied, "Don't worry. You and your dad will be able to go back to the castle soon!"
Hearing this, Chi-Chi ran over to Young Goku and said excitedly, "That's great, Goku! You have to come visit my house sometime!"
"Okay! Does the castle have anything good to eat?" Young Goku replied.
"Of course it does! Is food the only thing you ever ask about?"
Watching the two of them being so sweet together, Zhou Zilong understood that Young Goku had used that same peculiar method from the original story to tell boys and girls apart, accidentally making a lifelong promise to Chi-Chi.
After taking his position, Zhou Zilong brought his hands together in the shape of a flower bud. Blue-white energy began to form between them.
"Ka... me... ha... me... ha!" Zhou Zilong thrust both hands forward.
A powerful wave of energy burst from his palms and shot toward the flames.
