After spending three days at Ox-King's castle, Zhou Zilong and the others set off once more, heading for the unknown distance ahead in search of the mysterious seventh Dragon Ball.
Before leaving, Zhou Zilong exchanged something from Xiao Ling's System Mall: a storage device disguised as a pendant. He went to Ox-King's room and handed it over, explaining, "Senior Brother, I found this high-tech item while out training. It may look like an ordinary pendant, but it contains a huge storage space. You can keep your valuables inside. It's convenient and safe!"
The reason Zhou Zilong had done this was that he knew Ox-King's castle was fated to suffer from fire. Years later, another great fire would break out, destroying many of the castle's valuable possessions. As a result, Ox-King, who had once been fairly wealthy, would lose a great deal of his fortune.
So Zhou Zilong wanted to see whether, if Ox-King's wealth didn't dwindle, Chi-Chi would still keep insisting that Goku go out and earn money.
Ox-King nodded repeatedly, full of praise. "How amazing! You're so thoughtful, Junior Brother. You even thought to give me such a useful treasure!"
Zhou Zilong waved a hand and replied modestly, "You're too kind, Senior Brother. It was no trouble at all. I hope this pendant makes things easier for you. Think of it as a little token of our bond as fellow disciples!"
Ox-King nodded, deeply moved, and carefully hung the pendant around his neck.
Meanwhile, Chi-Chi made a promise with Young Goku, who was already in the car: when they grew up, Goku would marry her. The naive Young Goku agreed without a second thought.
Once they were on their way again, Yamcha, who had been secretly following them, continued to tail them.
Just as in the anime, Zhou Zilong and the others eventually arrived at a town ruled by a rabbit. But against overwhelming strength, the rabbit's antics were nothing more than a futile attempt to stop a chariot.
Before long, Zhou Zilong crushed the rabbit with his overwhelming power and sent him off to an unknown place to begin a life of hard labor.
During their time there, they also met a wealthy young woman named Iris, who had some knowledge of martial arts and a head of purple hair. The rabbit was the reason their paths crossed.
When Iris arrived in the rabbit-ruled town, she took the place of Bulma from the anime and was turned into a carrot. But, just like in the anime, with Yamcha's help, Young Goku successfully rescued Iris from her carrot form.
The rabbit then set his sights on Zhou Zilong and the others, and that was when he met his crushing defeat.
After helping restore peace to the town, Iris joined Zhou Zilong and the others in their search for the Dragon Balls. She said she really wanted to see what Shenron looked like.
And of course, Yamcha continued to follow them in secret. He hoped to use the Dragon Balls to wish away his weakness: getting flustered whenever he came into contact with a woman.
Once they set off again, the group headed toward the location of the last Dragon Ball. Knowing the story, Zhou Zilong realized that he was about to run into that unusual trio.
At that moment, in a castle, the blue-skinned Pilaf was fuming because his subordinate Mai couldn't make a Dragon Radar.
After a great deal of fuss, Pilaf decided it would be better to go after Zhou Zilong and his companions directly.
Back when Zhou Zilong and the others had first set out on their journey, they had already crossed paths with Pilaf and his gang. Pilaf had happened to spot the Dragon Ball Young Goku was carrying, so he had sent a mechanical crow to spy on them and keep an eye on their movements.
Just then, the crow flew back and, using a special method, informed them that Zhou Zilong and the others were on their way. Pilaf and his gang immediately began devising a plan to steal the Dragon Balls.
Meanwhile, Oolong was driving in the front seat when he and Iris got into an argument over something.
The argument turned out to be about a pair of underwear. Just moments earlier, Iris had opened her bag to look for something and found a pouch of dirty clothes. After checking, she realized one of her pairs of underwear was missing.
Before Iris could even ask about it, naive, airheaded Young Goku immediately blurted out that Oolong had taken it when he'd seen what happened earlier. Iris scolded Oolong, who shamelessly talked back.
Just like in the original story, Oolong hadn't changed his lecherous ways. He still had a peculiar interest in women's underwear. He had even tried to steal Bulma's underwear once, but Zhou Zilong had caught him in the act and played a prank on him, which had made him behave a little better.
After the argument, Oolong continued driving down the road.
After the car had driven for a while, Mai, watching from a distance, picked up a walkie-talkie and said, "King Pilaf, their car just passed checkpoint ten. They're getting closer!"
Pilaf replied over the walkie-talkie, "Good. Proceed according to plan!"
Mai immediately answered, "Yes!"
Then Mai spoke into the walkie-talkie again. "Shu, I'm counting on you. Follow the plan!"
"Got it. Leave it to me!" Shu, who had the appearance of a dog-man, replied from the other end.
Just then, Oolong suddenly slammed on the brakes. It turned out he and Iris had started arguing again, this time even more fiercely than before. The three who were left watching the show looked on with different expressions.
The reason for this argument was even more absurd. Iris was becoming more and more convinced that Oolong was a pervert, so she told Bulma to watch out around him. Then she scolded Oolong again, and the two of them fell right back into another argument.
From inside his machine, Shu saw them quarreling and exclaimed delightedly, "Great! They're turning on each other!"
Still grinning, Shu aimed the scope at the car once more.
Once the argument was over, Oolong took up his duties as driver again and continued down the road.
Meanwhile, after making a quick estimate, Shu launched a small missile from his robot toward the car.
Sensing the attack, Zhou Zilong put an arm around Bulma's slender waist and immediately used his ki to blast open the car door. He grabbed Oolong, who was still driving, and shouted, "Get ready to jump! We're under attack!"
With a boom, the small missile struck the road in front of the car shortly after they jumped out, unleashing a deafening explosion.
The car was caught in the blast. It flipped through the air and crashed to the ground with a thunderous bang.
Meanwhile, the robot Shu was piloting charged toward Zhou Zilong and the others after its attack hit.
