As the vehicle rolled slowly forward, they drew closer and closer to the location of the sixth Dragon Ball. The scenery along the way shifted, transitioning from dense forests to barren deserts, and finally to the sea of crimson fire before them—Fire Mountain.
"Ah, it's the sunset!" Little Goku suddenly pointed at the fiery red expanse ahead and exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with curiosity and anticipation, as if he had seen something novel.
"Wow, it's really beautiful!" Bulma was also drawn in by the sight and couldn't help but marvel, the reflection of the flames dancing in her eyes, making them appear exceptionally bright.
However, no sooner had Bulma finished her exclamation than she realized something was wrong. "Wait, it's daytime, how could there be a sunset?" she muttered in confusion, casting her gaze once more toward that sea of red.
"Give me a break, that's not a sunset, that's Fire Mountain!" Oolong, who was driving, explained helplessly, a trace of fear evident in his voice.
"Oolong, why are you stopping? Don't you want the antidote?" Zhou Zilong looked at Oolong's back and asked intentionally, knowing exactly what the pig was afraid of.
"It's not that, Master Zilong, let's take a detour. A terrifying demon lives on that Fire Mountain called the Ox-King. Not only is he incredibly powerful, but he also specializes in robbing travelers like us!" Oolong's voice trembled as he looked fearfully at the sea of flames ahead.
Hearing Oolong say this, Zhou Zilong knew that this was indeed the location of the sixth Dragon Ball. Furthermore, according to the original plot, Little Goku was about to gain a fiancée thanks to a "kick of destiny."
However, Bulma clung to Zhou Zilong's arm and said directly, "Stop trying to scare us. Zilong's martial arts are so high, there definitely won't be any problems!"
Little Goku immediately chimed in, "That's right, Zilong's martial arts are so high, there definitely won't be any problems. Besides, after hearing what you said, I really want to try fighting that Ox-King!"
Their words were filled with trust and admiration for Zhou Zilong.
"Just keep going!" Zhou Zilong said finally, then signaled for Oolong to continue driving. Although Oolong was terrified, he obeyed Zhou Zilong's order and continued to drive forward.
"Young Master Yamcha, we should leave. The Ox-King is not someone we can afford to provoke!" Puar whispered a warning after listening to their conversation.
However, Yamcha remained unmoved, a cold smirk curling his lips. "No, we'll follow them. No matter how strong that kid is, he shouldn't be a match for the Ox-King. When they both end up battered and bruised, we can swoop in and make a fortune!"
Just as Yamcha prepared to set off, he encountered Sun Wukong's future wife, Chi-Chi, just as in the original story, and knocked her unconscious, mirroring the events of the anime.
At this moment, Oolong was driving the vehicle, struggling forward along the rugged mountain road.
As the wheels rolled on, the group finally arrived at the heart of Fire Mountain. The surroundings were filled with broken walls and ruins; the once-thriving village was now nothing but debris and scattered white skeletons, as if telling the tragic tale of the past.
The vehicle stopped, and as the door opened, a wave of heat rushed toward them like a wild beast.
Oolong couldn't help but frown. He quickly scrambled back into the car and turned on the air conditioning, trying to escape the suffocating heat.
Zhou Zilong took a blue garment out of his backpack. It looked somewhat like tinfoil, but the texture was much tougher.
He handed it to Bulma and said, "This is a specially made fireproof suit. Put it on, and you'll be able to move freely on Fire Mountain!"
Bulma took the fireproof suit and quickly put it on. She looked at Zhou Zilong, asking with some concern, "What about you? This suit can only fit one person."
Zhou Zilong smiled and shook his head, his eyes filled with confidence. "Don't worry, Bulma, this temperature is nothing to me!"
The two began to search for the whereabouts of the Dragon Ball separately.
"Goku, can you fly in and take a look?" After searching for a while without success, Bulma asked Little Goku to help search the castle surrounded by the raging flames.
Little Goku nodded in agreement. "Bulma, don't worry, I'm going now!"
With that, he leaped up onto the Flying Nimbus and flew toward the castle.
However, the power of the flames exceeded Little Goku's imagination. After flying a circle, he was forced to retreat; the Flying Nimbus wobbled precariously in the heat, and Little Goku had to abandon his plans for further exploration.
"It's no good, Bulma, the flames are too big, I can't get in!" Little Goku said, shaking his head as he flew back.
Bulma comforted him, "It's okay, let's think of another way."
Just then, Oolong, sitting in the car, rolled down the window and grumbled discontentedly, "You two idiots, keep your voices down! It'll be bad if the Ox-King hears you!"
No sooner had Oolong finished speaking than a massive figure wearing a horned helmet slowly emerged from the flames.
Seeing this, Zhou Zilong immediately shielded Bulma behind him and shouted to Little Goku, "Goku, dodge to the right!"
At the same time Zhou Zilong shouted, the Ox-King had already raised the axe in his hand and swung it toward them.
Zhou Zilong was quick-witted; he grabbed Bulma and jumped to the left. The axe whistled past them, slamming heavily into a ruined building with a thunderous crash.
After dodging the attack, Zhou Zilong quickly checked the Ox-King's information:
Ox-King [Race] Earthling [Height] 4.6 meters [Weight] 330 kg [Potential Level] Common Potential (3 (lowest) - 10 (highest)) [Potential Value] 10 (Max combat power can reach 100) [Potential Development Progress] 80% [Combat Power] 80
"Damn it, how dare you ambush us! Take this!" Little Goku roared, leaping off the Flying Nimbus and charging toward the Ox-King.
As he closed the distance, Little Goku jumped off the Flying Nimbus and delivered a fierce kick toward the Ox-King, landing squarely on the left side of the giant's chest.
However, the Ox-King took the kick without a change in expression, then scratched the spot where Little Goku had kicked him, as if to say, "Are you just scratching an itch for me?"
Seeing his attack had no effect, the persistent Little Goku charged at the Ox-King again, delivering another kick to his chest.
But just like the first attack, Little Goku's strike ended in futility once more.
At this moment, the Ox-King expressionlessly reached out a massive palm and grabbed Little Goku.
"Ah!" Little Goku let out a cry of alarm as his body was hoisted high by the Ox-King and then violently slammed into the ground.
With a thunderous "thud," Little Goku struck the earth with such force that the entire forest seemed to tremble; he struggled to stand, but his body felt as though it had been dismantled, aching beyond endurance.
The Ox-King looked down at the fallen Little Goku, raised the axe in his hand, and aimed it at Little Goku's head, preparing to deliver a fatal blow.
Just then, a figure suddenly flashed out from the side, blocking the path in front of Little Goku.
Zhou Zilong extended the index and middle fingers of his left hand, and with a crisp "ding," the Ox-King's axe was easily caught between them.
Zhou Zilong raised his head, looked at the Ox-King, and said, "Calm down, we are only passing through here to find something!"
