Night had fallen, and Wang Yang and his wife lay in bed. Wang Yang snapped his fingers, the room's lights immediately extinguished, and a rustling sound arose.
"Keep it down, Little Sheng will wake up soon."
"You have to trust your craftsmanship; you designed this room yourself, the soundproofing is excellent. Besides, he was exhausted from training earlier, he'll sleep until daybreak."
"..."
In the dark world, two small red snakes were vaguely seen coiling and crossing in the water. Just then, a giant snake suddenly appeared in the dark, heavy clouds, weaving and winding through the thick layers across two majestic mountain peaks; the sound of the snake's body rubbing against the mountains echoed throughout the world.
Looking from afar, the shadows were indistinct, with two clouds—neither jade nor copper—entangled in an endless struggle.
Overlapping or separating, appearing to be both inside and outside, they drifted high into the sky one moment and fell to the ground the next, parting and reuniting without end.
The sky gradually revealed a hint of fish-belly white, and as sunlight spilled across the earth, the hazy scenery suddenly became clear.
The long-silent door of the master bathroom suddenly opened, and a delicate, fair, and tender little hand reached out, groping weakly at the air outside.
At that moment, a sturdy arm reached out, grabbed the small hand, and pulled her back in. The door slammed shut with a bang, and a faint, delicate cry could be heard from within.
"Little Sheng is about to wake up, I need to prepare his food."
"Quiet, I seem to sense an active volcano about to erupt twenty miles outside West City. I wonder if it will harm any innocents." Wang Yang's expression was grave.
"Ah! You can sense it from such a distance? I wonder if it will hurt anyone?" Bulma's pupils widened, her hands covering her pale, chapped red lips, trembling all over in fear.
Before long, Wang Yang's serious expression dissolved, replaced by a look of relief.
"Phew! It's fine! No innocents were affected."
After washing up, Bulma yawned while preparing breakfast.
Wang Yang hugged Bulma from behind with a beaming smile, rubbing his cheek against her fair, rosy skin, a look of satisfaction on his face.
"I'm so sleepy," Bulma complained coquettishly.
"Watch this!" Wang Yang released Bulma and tapped his finger on her head, light flowing from his touch.
Bulma felt a cool sensation flow into her mind, and her mental fatigue was swept away in an instant.
"What kind of technique is this? It's truly magical; I thought you only knew how to fight and kill," Bulma looked at Wang Yang in surprise.
"This is a small trick I created based on the soul-strengthening techniques I learned on Yardrat—Spirit Light! This move can restore a person's exhausted spirit," Wang Yang laughed.
Elder Pybara had a profound understanding of the way of the spirit, and as it happened, Wang Yang possessed a powerful soul and had also made significant achievements in this field.
Regarding the application of the spirit, he had not only created Spirit Light but also many other small techniques, such as Soul Deterrence, which could subdue an enemy without a fight, and Soul Sword, which carried a mental attack, among others.
"My husband is amazing!" Bulma kissed Wang Yang, then continued her work with a beaming smile.
After finishing breakfast, Bulma greeted Wang Yang, then took Wang Sheng and left in a small jet.
"You must come back early!"
"Alright, I'll return as soon as I finish my training."
Standing on the grass, Wang Yang raised his right hand and waved goodbye to the plane.
Seeing the plane disappear from his sight, Wang Yang went to the bathroom to wash away the sweat and scent left from the night before, only then walking out feeling refreshed.
He pressed his right index and middle fingers against his forehead, and in the next instant, his figure vanished from the grass with a flash.
His figure flickered across several planets before finally arriving on a green planet.
Wang Yang appeared out of thin air in an antique-style courtyard.
In the garden, a woman dressed in gorgeous attire looked up at the sky, her back profile exuding grace.
In the sky, a small child was wobbling as he flew back and forth, looking as if he had just learned how to fly.
Before long, the child was already able to fly up and down as he pleased.
Just then, the child in the sky suddenly saw Wang Yang and immediately rushed toward him at high speed.
"Father..."
The woman in front subconsciously looked behind her, and Wang Yang's figure came into view.
"Brother Yang!"
"Little Yue'er!"
On the other side, Bulma carefully piloted the plane, slowly landing in a small mountain range.
Seeing the familiar scene around her, a memory of searching for the Dragon Balls back in the day and meeting Goku for the first time on Mount Paozu flashed through her eyes, and she couldn't help but curl her lips into a smile.
The ignorant boy from back then was now married with children.
"Gohan! Gohan!"
Wang Sheng jumped off the plane and called out toward the nearby house, familiar with the path.
"Hm? It's Wang Sheng!" Gohan was doing his homework; hearing the familiar voice, a happy smile immediately appeared on his face. He stopped writing, put down his pen, and ran out.
The two were of similar age and shared a common language, playing together quite happily.
"Bulma, you're here!" Chi-Chi smiled as she looked at Bulma; as fellow mothers, they had plenty to talk about.
"Yes, Little Sheng was very bored at home alone, so I brought him over to play with Gohan," Bulma said with a smile.
Watching the two children roughhousing in the front yard, the two women sat down to chat, their conversation never straying far from their children.
"I hope that when Gohan grows up, he can become an excellent scholar," Chi-Chi said, clasping her hands before her chest and gazing at Gohan with longing.
"Bulma, do you also hope that Wang Sheng becomes a scholar in the future? That way, the two of them would have a companion," Chi-Chi asked, grabbing Bulma's hand and staring at her unblinkingly.
A scholar was such a respectable profession; to cultivate Gohan, she was willing to endure any hardship or fatigue.
"Me? I haven't really thought about what he should do yet. But Wang Yang hopes he can become an excellent warrior in the future," Bulma said, tapping her red lips with her index finger as she pondered.
Her family was the wealthiest in the world and lacked for nothing; as for what Wang Sheng wanted to do later, she would leave that for him to decide.
"All that fighting and killing is so crude; it's not nearly as good as being a scholar. My Goku is never home for more than three days at a time, and this time he's been gone for nearly a year—it's enough to make me furious! I absolutely cannot let Gohan turn out like his father," Chi-Chi said, her face full of anger at the mere mention of Goku.
"Ha! Ha!" Bulma let out a dry laugh. Truth be told, Goku running off to train with King Kai was actually her husband's idea.
I must never let Chi-Chi find out about this! Bulma thought to herself.
"Chi-Chi, we haven't seen everyone in a long time. Why don't we head over to Kame House and have a get-together with everyone?" Bulma quickly changed the subject.
"Hmm? I'm not going to see that lecherous old man!" Chi-Chi snorted coldly at the thought of Master Roshi's lewd behavior.
"Then I'll take Gohan along with us and bring him back tonight," Bulma said to Chi-Chi, glancing at the two children still playing.
"Fine, but you must bring him back early; he still has a lot of homework to finish." Chi-Chi hesitated for a moment, but after turning to see how happy Gohan looked—something she hadn't seen in a long time—her heart softened and she agreed.
The three of them boarded the plane and flew toward Kame House, leaving Chi-Chi alone at home.
