"Uncle Paragus, how strong are you? My battle power was 5,001 when I was born." Wang Yang was curious. Back when he was in the incubation pod, he hadn't understood the Saiyan language. Now that he had learned it, he remembered what the staff had said and realized what his battle power had been at birth.

"Damn brat!" Heat surged into Paragus's face, turning it red with fury. He felt that the little punk was mocking him, a low-class warrior who had lived his whole life without ever reaching the battle power this kid had at birth.

This feeling was really... really... humiliating!

Enraged, Paragus reached out with all his strength to grab Wang Yang in midair, but Wang Yang was as slippery as an eel, and he couldn't catch him.

"I may not be able to beat you for now, but you can't catch me either." Wang Yang grinned.

"Broly, go grab him!" Paragus snapped at Broly, who was watching them curiously from the ground.

"Broly, don't listen to him!" Wang Yang immediately called out to Broly.

Broly looked at the two of them, bewildered.

"I'm your father. You have to listen to me. Go grab him!" Paragus said angrily.

"I'm your big brother. You have to listen to me, not him," Wang Yang said with a smile.

Broly was thoroughly confused and ignored them both.

Hmph!

Paragus felt as though someone were trying to steal his precious child, and he was furious. Seeing that he could do nothing to Wang Yang, he snorted and stopped.

Night fell, and the stars twinkled overhead. Paragus lit a campfire.

"Broly, say 'Daddy'!" Paragus teased the little Broly.

"Da...ddy..." Broly struggled to get the words out.

"Good boy!" Paragus was delighted. He held Broly and kissed him.

Broly was not only his hope, but also the one he relied on emotionally.

Wang Yang looked across the flames at Paragus, then turned his gaze away.

Laughter and cheer filled Paragus's side of the fire, while Wang Yang curled up by himself, quiet and withdrawn.

Since he was already here, he would make the best of it. Life had been hard in his previous life, so there wasn't much to miss.

Now that I'm in this strange place, what should I do from here on out? Wang Yang couldn't help wondering what path lay ahead. For now, they could get along peacefully, but as time went on, Broly would lose control and go berserk. If Wang Yang accidentally got killed, he'd be out of luck.

Besides, he couldn't stay on this planet forever. He wanted to venture out and see the wonders of the universe.

Temperatures on this planet barely varied between day and night, and the air was fresh. Wang Yang estimated its gravity was only one-tenth that of Planet Vegeta. His whole body felt light and relaxed, making this a very livable planet.

Saiyans were extremely hardy. Even as babies, they didn't seem bothered by spending the night outdoors.

The next day, before dawn had broken, Wang Yang was already awake and exercising on a small mountaintop.

997, 998, 999, 1000

His tiny body did push-ups.

Phew!

"That's enough for today. This little body can't handle too much strenuous exercise." Wang Yang's small face was flushed. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and smiled with satisfaction.

He could never have imagined doing this much exercise in his previous life. Now, a thousand push-ups didn't even tire him.

When Wang Yang returned to camp, he saw Paragus roasting a huge fish.

"Kafra, where did you go so early in the morning? I thought some wild beast had carried you off." Paragus saw Wang Yang return, tossed a piece of wood into the fire, and asked casually.

"Then Uncle Paragus would be happy if a wild beast carried me off, wouldn't he?" Wang Yang rolled his eyes.

"Of... of course not. We're the only three Saiyans left now. I bear the burden of restoring the Saiyan race to glory. How could I let you get hurt?" Paragus blurted out, then seemed to realize something and smiled at Wang Yang.

His battle power was 5,001 at birth. He still can't match Broly, but he's stronger than the other Saiyans. If I can bring both him and Broly under my control and make them my right-hand men, conquering the universe will be easy. Paragus schemed to himself.

I'd have to be an idiot to believe him. Wang Yang didn't think Paragus was some kind soul.

"Uncle Paragus, don't call me Kafra anymore. It doesn't sound good at all. Just call me Wang Yang." Wang Yang scrunched up his little face. Wang Yang was the name he'd had in his previous life. After using it for more than twenty years, he still wasn't used to suddenly changing to an unfamiliar one.

"Suit yourself. You could call yourself Little Punk for all I care." Paragus shrugged and laughed.

"..."

Broly stared intently at the roasted fish, mouth hanging open as drool trickled down his chin.

Once the fish was cooked, the three Saiyans tore into it like starving demons.

The huge fish vanished before their eyes.

Clang!

Paragus tossed the giant fish bones onto a rock, patted his stomach, and stood up.

"Now that we're full, come with me. We're going to take over this planet." Paragus immediately reverted to his Saiyan nature.

"I'll come with you, but you can't slaughter innocent people." Wang Yang knew the Saiyans' ways well enough. Getting them to stop conquering planets was practically impossible. The only way to make Paragus behave would be to beat him into submission.

Unfortunately, Wang Yang was still a baby, and his body was very frail. Even if his battle power was higher than Paragus's, he would be at a disadvantage in a real fight.

Give me a year or two, once I'm stronger, and I'll beat the shit out of you. Wang Yang narrowed his eyes at Paragus.

"Cut the nonsense. How are we supposed to take over this planet without killing them all? You're not fit to be a true Saiyan. What a waste of such high battle power." Paragus snorted. He was also consumed by envy of the kid, who had been born with power he could never hope to attain in his entire life.

"I said we can take the planet, but we can't slaughter innocent people." Wang Yang's little face darkened, and he looked at Paragus coldly. To him, wiping out all life on a planet was an unforgivable crime.

With the values he'd carried over from his previous life, he couldn't accept the indiscriminate killing of innocents.

Paragus gritted his teeth in anger. Why was this kid so irritating? Was trying to bring him under his control and make him one of his top men really a wise choice?

"If you don't want to come, then don't. I don't believe Broly and I can't take over this planet without you." Paragus's face darkened, and he immediately took Broly by the hand and soared into the sky.

Wang Yang was silent. He could sense that the strongest power on this planet was less than one-tenth of Paragus's.

Sigh!

A white aura enveloped Wang Yang, and with a whoosh, he chased after Paragus.
