Background / History

Saintess and Revenge Against Qian Xunji

Bibi Dong was established as Martial Soul Hall’s Saintess decades before her coronation and had been absent from public view for years when Lin Beiya joined the organization. Qian Xunji was her teacher, while Yue Guan had helped raise her 2 33 36.

Her relationship with Qian Xunji was shattered by the secret-chamber incident. She regarded his actions as an unforgettable humiliation, while he remained hostile toward her attachment to Yu Xiaogang. Their daughter, Qian Renxue, became a focus of Bibi Dong’s hatred toward the Angel clan 20 32 37.

When Qian Xunji returned badly injured from his soul hunt, Bibi Dong brought him medicinal soup containing Rakshasa poison. His Aries Sacred Cloth prevented immediate incapacitation and reflected her attack, leaving her injured and subsequently imprisoned. The poison nevertheless used his soul power to nourish Soul-Devouring Worms, preserving her means of killing him 32 33.

Bibi Dong eventually accelerated the parasite’s attack through a secret technique. After Qian Xunji died, a butterfly emerged from the insect egg and entered her brow, transferring his power and activating her Rakshasa inheritance 34.

Accession and Consolidation of Power

Qian Daoliu spared Bibi Dong because she was Qian Renxue’s mother. He appointed her acting Pope and ordered the public explanation that Qian Xunji had died from injuries inflicted by Tang Hao. Bibi Dong interpreted this concealment as Angel-clan hypocrisy and accepted the opportunity to build her strength 34.

At Qian Xunji’s funeral, she openly celebrated his death. Qian Renxue attacked her in anger, only to be repelled by Bibi Dong’s soul power and caught by Golden Crocodile Douluo 35.

Following her coronation, Bibi Dong used the supposed need to avenge the former Pope to establish her authority through a campaign against the Clear Sky Sect. She initially defended him against Demon Bear Douluo, ordered a search for attackers who injured him within Martial Soul City, and arranged treatment for him and Shi Nuo. She later tasked him with leading a Soul Master Tournament team to strengthen Martial Soul Hall’s prestige 43 49 66.

Bibi Dong later visited Lin Beiya in Saliker Province to force his return, considering even house arrest preferable to allowing him to develop independently. The standoff eased when Lin Beiya revealed his divine inheritance and enmity with the Sea God. Bibi Dong recognized that his ocean-centered conflict need not interfere with her continental ambitions.
