Cabba stepped forward and said to Vegeta very politely:
"Um... please go easy on me."
"Hmph, how utterly boring."
Vegeta's brows knit together, his eyes filled with impatience. He gave a light stomp, and fine cracks spiderwebbed across the surface of the arena floor.
In his eyes, the battle had already begun; this kind of empty, performative courtesy was a complete waste of time. The moment Cabba bowed, he had already begun gathering his ki, wanting to slap the kid right off the stage.
If not for the fact that Lin Fan was watching from the sidelines, he wouldn't have given the boy the chance to finish that sentence.
Cabba seemed oblivious to Vegeta's hostility. He took a deep breath, planted his feet shoulder-width apart, clenched his fists in front of his chest, and sank his stance, assuming a textbook combat posture.
The moment he struck that pose, the Universe 7 spectator stands erupted.
"Whoa! Isn't that the stance Vegeta usually uses when he fights?"
Son Goku jumped up from his seat, pointing at the arena with a look of astonishment.
"It's exactly the same! Even the angle of his fists and his stance are identical. Is this kid intentionally copying Vegeta?"
Son Gohan nodded along, his face full of surprise.
"It really is too similar. It's like watching Vegeta's shadow fight. This is incredible."
Piccolo crossed his arms, his eyes flickering as he mused.
"Do you all remember? Whis said that Universe 7 and Universe 6 are twin universes, and many things exist in pairs."
He paused, looking at Cabba on the stage.
"Perhaps this Cabba is the Universe 6 counterpart to Vegeta."
"My counterpart?"
Hearing the discussion from the stands, a mocking smirk curled the corner of Vegeta's lips.
"Him? He's worthy?"
The words had barely left his lips when Cabba suddenly moved!
He pushed off with his legs, his body launching toward Vegeta like an arrow from a bow, his fist whistling through the air as he aimed straight for Vegeta's face.
The speed of this punch wasn't slow, and the force behind it far exceeded that of an ordinary warrior, but in Vegeta's eyes, it was as slow as a snail crawling.
Vegeta didn't even lift an eyelid; he simply reached out his right hand and caught Cabba's fist with effortless ease.
With a soft crack, Cabba felt as if he had punched a steel plate. His bones felt like they were about to shatter, and a massive surge of force traveled up his arm, leaving the entire limb numb.
"Is this the extent of your strength?"
Vegeta gripped Cabba's fist, his eyes overflowing with disappointment.
"Weaker than those two brats Goten and Trunks, yet you dare to come onto this stage and make a fool of yourself?"
With that, he gave his wrist a light flick.
Cabba was tossed away like a ragdoll, carving an arc through the air before slamming heavily into the protective railing at the edge of the arena with a dull thud.
"Cough, cough!"
Cabba clutched his chest and coughed twice, his face twisted in pain, but he didn't retreat in the slightest. He struggled to his feet, his gaze growing even more determined.
He took a deep breath and charged at Vegeta once more, his speed significantly faster than before.
"The same move again?"
Vegeta raised an eyebrow, feeling even more disdain, and prepared to use the same tactic.
But just as Cabba's fist was about to make contact, his body suddenly accelerated, his form blurring as he bypassed Vegeta and swung his fist toward his back.
"Oh? Interesting."
Vegeta's lips curled slightly, yet there wasn't a hint of panic.
Cabba's fist smashed down with heavy force, but it passed straight through Vegeta's body, hitting nothing but air.
It turned out to be nothing more than an afterimage left behind by Vegeta!
"What?"
Cabba's pupils constricted in shock. Before he could react, he felt a powerful force strike his back.
Vegeta had already teleported behind him and delivered a fierce kick to his lower back.
"Bang!"
Cabba was sent lunging forward, his body flying uncontrollably toward the edge of the arena.
"Oh no! He's going to fall out!"
Someone in the Universe 6 spectator stands couldn't help but cry out.
Cabba realized the danger. Gritting his teeth and enduring the sharp pain in his back, he slammed his hands onto the arena floor. Using the momentum, he flipped his body in mid-air and landed steadily on the very edge of the stage, just one step away from falling out.
He panted heavily, his back soaked with sweat, his eyes filled with shock as he looked at Vegeta.
Vegeta hadn't even used his full strength in those two exchanges, yet he had been left completely unable to fight back. The gap in their power was as vast as the heavens.
Vegeta walked slowly toward Cabba, his eyes filled with disdain:
"Is that all you've got? You can't even transform into a Super Saiyan, yet you dare call yourself a Saiyan?"
He stopped in his tracks, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Stop holding back. Transform already, or this match will be far too boring."
"Super Saiyan?"
Cabba was stunned, a look of bewilderment appearing on his face.
"I... I don't know how to transform into a Super Saiyan."
As soon as those words were spoken, the entire arena fell silent.
"Huh? What did you say?"
Vegeta widened his eyes as if he had just heard the greatest joke in the world.
"You, a Saiyan, actually don't know how to turn into a Super Saiyan? Are you joking with me?"
In the Universe 7 spectator stands, Son Goku also wore an expression of disbelief:
"No way? How could a Saiyan not know how to turn into a Super Saiyan? Could the Saiyans of Universe 6 be different from us?"
Son Gohan shook his head:
"That's unlikely. The potential of a Saiyan is the same; as long as there is enough rage or a catalyst, one should be able to transform."
Lin Fan leaned back in his seat, eyes slightly narrowed. He remained silent, as if he had known this outcome all along.
Cabba clenched his fists so tightly his nails nearly dug into his flesh. He lowered his head, his voice trembling with a hint of a sob:
"I really don't know how... We Saiyans of Universe 6 gave up fighting long ago and have lived peaceful lives. No one knows how to become a Super Saiyan."
He suddenly looked up, his eyes filled with longing, and bowed deeply toward Vegeta:
"Contestant Vegeta, please, teach me how to transform into a Super Saiyan! I want to become stronger, I want to protect my planet and the people around me!"
"What did you say?"
Vegeta's face turned livid instantly. The ki within his body erupted uncontrollably, and a golden aura surged into the sky, distorting the air around the ring.
"Asking your opponent for guidance during a match? You pathetic weakling! You are an absolute disgrace to the Saiyan race!"
He valued the dignity and pride of a Saiyan above all else; in his eyes, Cabba's behavior was a desecration of the Saiyan identity.
"I won't let you say that!"
Cabba looked up, a hint of stubbornness in his eyes:
"I just want to become stronger, what is wrong with that?"
"Wrong? Your mistake is daring to bear the name of a Saiyan while acting in such a cowardly manner!"
Vegeta roared, his figure vanishing from the spot in an instant.
Before Cabba could react, he felt a powerful pressure rushing toward him, followed immediately by a sharp, agonizing pain in his abdomen.
"Ugh!"
Vegeta's fist slammed heavily into Cabba's stomach, causing him to cough up a mouthful of blood.
His body curled into the shape of a shrimp, his face twisted in extreme agony, and his legs gave way, causing him to collapse onto his knees before Vegeta.
In the Universe 6 spectator stands, Caulifla watched Cabba on the ring. Far from being worried, her eyes sparkled with excitement:
"Super Saiyan? So that is the power of a Super Saiyan? How amazing!"
She placed her hands on her hips, a smirk curling the corner of her mouth:
"When it's my turn to fight, I'll definitely make that Vegeta teach me how to transform!"
Champa, meanwhile, had a livid expression, his hands clenched into tight fists; he felt incredibly frustrated.
He had previously thought Cabba was a genius of Universe 6, but he never expected the gap between him and Vegeta to be this vast. He couldn't even transform into a Super Saiyan—he was nothing but a waste.
"Who gave you permission to kneel?"
Vegeta's eyes were icy as he grabbed Cabba by the hair and hoisted him up by force.
Cabba winced in pain, but he dared not struggle, leaving himself at Vegeta's mercy.
"In the dictionary of a Saiyan, there is no such thing as begging for mercy, let alone kneeling!"
Vegeta roared, putting strength into his arm as he hurled Cabba into the air.
Cabba's body traced an arc through the sky, and before he could land, Vegeta had already leaped up to intercept him.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Vegeta's fists and feet rained down on Cabba, the dull thuds echoing one after another.
Cabba's cries of pain rang throughout the entire arena. He continued to spit blood, staining his collar and dripping onto the ring, forming patches of jarring crimson.
