Battle of Gods

When Beerus comes to Earth seeking the Super Saiyan God, Goku eagerly accepts Lin Fan’s offer to fight him. He becomes the ritual’s recipient, transforms into Super Saiyan God, and battles Beerus despite being unable to properly control the power or threaten the God of Destruction. 4 5 7

Whis subsequently chooses Goku as his trainee in a competition against Lin Fan, whose chosen trainee is Vegeta. Goku begins divine-evolution training to master Super Saiyan God and pursue Ultra Instinct. 8 10

Super God vs. Super Four

After a week of training, Goku independently transforms into Super Saiyan God and challenges Vegeta’s newly attained Super Saiyan 4. Their duel highlights the contrast between Goku’s technical divine fighting style and Vegeta’s superior raw power and durability. 15 17
