"It doesn't matter." Vegeta didn't care much about any of that. He chuckled. "Why bother? We'd be better off using that time to increase our own battle power. All that other stuff is pointless! Our greatest strength as Saiyans is our battle power!"
Elder Moori: "..."
The many Namekians: "..."
Those two actually had such an advanced Dragon Radar!
They'd found our Dragon Balls so easily.
"Are these the Dragon Balls of Namek? They're so much bigger than Earth's!" Vegeta leaned in for a closer look.
"So, just like on Earth," Lu Fan said, pointing at the screen on the Dragon Radar. "Using this Dragon Ball in the middle as the dividing point, there are three Dragon Balls on the right and three on the left. Which side do you want?"
"Hmph. Only elementary schoolers have to choose." Vegeta snorted.
"So you're saying I get to find the other six Dragon Balls?" Lu Fan asked with a smile.
Vegeta: "..."
"I'll find the three on the left!" Vegeta bared his teeth.
He'd nearly talked himself into doing all the work.
What a blunder.
Next time, he'd have to think before he spoke.
"Fine, I'll find the three on the right." Lu Fan nodded, then lowered his voice and said to Vegeta, "Your Highness, don't trust your Scouter too much. That thing can be misleading sometimes."
"What? I don't understand what you're talking about." Vegeta was taken aback.
"I mean, be polite when you're looking for the Dragon Balls. Don't keep threatening to wipe people out," Lu Fan whispered. "Even if you do intend to wipe them out, wait until after we find the Dragon Balls and make our wish."
Vegeta looked up at Lu Fan.
That actually made a lot of sense.
Elder Moori and the others: "..."
This kid named Lu Fan wasn't any good either.
What a schemer!
Elder Moori's face darkened instantly.
But after studying Lu Fan closely, Elder Moori got the feeling that the kid was joking.
He didn't seem serious!
When the same words came from him, they didn't sound the least bit threatening.
"All right, Your Highness. Let's see who finds their three Dragon Balls first." Lu Fan patted Vegeta on the shoulder. "Just like on Earth, we'll meet back here once we've found them."
"Hmph. Don't tell me what to do. I know what I'm doing." As he spoke, Vegeta took out his Dragon Radar and pressed a button.
"Whoosh!"
White flames of energy blazed around Vegeta as he shot into the sky, speeding toward the first Dragon Ball.
"Well, I'd better go look for the Dragon Balls too." Lu Fan smiled at them.
Elder Moori didn't reply.
"Whoosh!"
Lu Fan flew into the sky and quickly disappeared from sight.
Elder Moori stared up at the spot where Lu Fan had vanished, staying silent for a long time.
"Elder... what are you looking at?" one of the villagers asked. "That Saiyan named Lu Fan has already flown far away."
"Did you notice? That Saiyan named Lu Fan... didn't have the slightest energy fluctuation." Elder Moori mused.
"Huh? You're right! But he felt much stronger than their prince!" The villager quickly came to his senses.
"Exactly. He knocked their prince unconscious with one blow, so he must be much, much stronger than that Saiyan named Vegeta." Elder Moori nodded. "The question is, how can he be that strong when there's no energy fluctuation from him?"
"Elder, ask the clouds drifting by. Maybe they know." The villager looked up at the clouds in the sky.
Elder Moori: "..."
What the heck, the clouds know...
Atop Cloud Mountain Peak, where the Grand Elder lived.
The Grand Elder was sitting outside with his eyes closed, sunbathing.
Namek had three suns, so sunbathing was quite pleasant.
After all, he still had more than twenty years before he reached the end of his life.
The Grand Elder was still able to move about freely.
A young Namekian stood beside the Grand Elder.
He was the only warrior-type Namekian on Namek.
His name was Neil.
Neil was also the strongest warrior on Namek.
Although Neil's battle power hadn't yet reached the peak he'd attain twenty years later, it had already reached forty thousand.
"Someone has come to Namek." The Grand Elder suddenly opened his eyes, their gaze clouded with age.
Neil was slightly taken aback.
Someone had come to Namek?
"I don't know how they got here. It seems they didn't come by spaceship. It's as if something transported them here in an instant." The Grand Elder mused.
"Who could they be, Grand Elder?" Neil asked.
"They landed in Elder Moori's village earlier, but they've already left," the Grand Elder said. "It seems they've reached some kind of understanding with Elder Moori."
"How many are there, Grand Elder?" Neil asked.
"Two," the Grand Elder replied.
"Grand Elder, you should contact Elder Moori right away and find out what those two are doing on our planet. If they're hostile, I absolutely won't spare them!" Neil said gravely.
"You're right." The Grand Elder nodded, immediately contacting Elder Moori through telepathy.
"Grand Elder?" Elder Moori was slightly taken aback. "Wonderful, Grand Elder! I was just about to contact you. I didn't expect you already knew."
Elder Moori had nothing to hide, so he relayed everything that had happened there to the Grand Elder.
"Saiyans?" The Grand Elder nodded. "There's no full moon on our planet, so they shouldn't be able to turn into Great Apes. If Neil goes all out, it shouldn't be a problem."
"Yes, Grand Elder." Elder Moori nodded. "But that Saiyan named Lu Fan seems a little strange... There isn't the slightest trace of evil about him. If possible, it would be best if you met him before making a decision."
"Good." The Grand Elder nodded slightly, then instructed Neil, "Neil, bring that Saiyan named Lu Fan here. I want to meet him before deciding whether to let them make their wish."
"Yes, Grand Elder." Neil bowed.
The next moment, Neil extended his senses to search for Lu Fan's energy.
And then... nothing.
That was because Lu Fan had no energy signature.
He had long since replaced any such energy with divine power.
The Namekians and ordinary humans alike were unable to sense divine power.
"I can't sense him at all." Neil looked up at the sky.
