Background & History

Lu Fan was a Dragon Ball enthusiast before transmigrating into the Dragon Ball world as a Saiyan. By age five, he served as Prince Vegeta’s sparring partner despite being the prince’s equal in age. His extraordinary early combat power fell sharply after he began converting his strength into divine power and researching Destruction, a godly technique with no stated upper limit 1 4.

He took Vegeta away from Planet Vegeta, intending to live on Earth and help the prince cultivate the peaceful heart needed to increase S-Cells. On Earth, he befriended Bulma, investigated the Dragon Balls, and later traveled to Namek. The Namekians found no evil in him; Lu Fan learned basic Namekian so he could summon Porunga and make wishes himself 5 6 17 19.

After receiving guidance from Champa and Vados, Lu Fan’s understanding of Destruction deepened. The Grand Priest subsequently offered him the God of Destruction post for the New Universe. Lu Fan accepted only after negotiating for his clone to serve temporarily as its Supreme Kai, then later installed a clone as Universe 7’s Supreme Kai as well 28 57 61 74.

Over the following twenty years, Lu Fan developed the New Universe through his true body while his clone cultivated life in Universe 7. Universe 7’s comprehensive rating rose to third in the Omni-Universe during this period 75.

Lu Fan is a black-haired Saiyan whose hairstyle remains unchanged from childhood into adulthood. Vegeta recognizes one of Lu Fan’s clones decades later because it looks identical to the original 76.

Despite frequently helping others, Lu Fan’s guidance is often abrasive. He repeatedly knocks Vegeta unconscious, teases him over their power gap, and treats major threats such as Frieza and Majin Buu with detached amusement 77 87 93.
