"It exploded just like that? Is that all the energy this device can withstand?" Neil smiled and shook his head in disappointment.
"Y-you really are a Namekian?" Vegeta felt as though he'd taken a critical hit for ten thousand points of damage.
"Of course I am," Neil snorted.
"Y-you..." Vegeta's whole body began to tremble violently.
"Take your Dragon Balls and leave. You're not welcome here." Neil ordered him to go.
"Y-you... you're talking to me?" Vegeta felt deeply humiliated.
"Gaaaaah!"
Then Vegeta let out a series of roars.
"Pop!"
In an instant, an energy sphere appeared in Vegeta's hand.
"Huff, huff..."
Vegeta panted heavily, his energy nearly depleted.
"Hmph, you'll regret this." Vegeta smiled faintly. "Do you know what this is?"
"What?" Neil froze. What is he trying to do?
"Heh, heh, heh. Do you know why we Saiyans are so powerful?" A smile spread across Vegeta's face. "It's because we can transform into Great Apes! I know this planet has no moon, but that doesn't matter! A rare few Saiyans can create an artificial full moon, and I'm the prince of the Saiyans, so of course I can do it too. All I have to do is mix this planet's atmosphere into this energy sphere..."
As he spoke, Vegeta flicked his little hand, sending the Artificial Full Moon soaring into the sky.
"Oh no!" Neil's expression changed again and again.
"Whoosh!"
Without the slightest hesitation, a streak of light shot from Neil's finger.
The streak quickly caught up with the Artificial Full Moon Vegeta had created.
"Boom!"
Before it could reach the highest point in the sky, the Artificial Full Moon exploded.
Vegeta: "..."
"Sorry, your full moon exploded." Neil smiled. "Can you still transform into a Great Ape now?"
Vegeta was dumbfounded.
This guy can even destroy my Artificial Full Moon?
His battle power must be several times mine.
This is bad.
"Whoosh!"
Neil blurred and swiftly appeared behind Vegeta.
"What? Where did he go?" Vegeta immediately looked around.
"Thump!"
Neil slapped the back of Vegeta's neck.
Vegeta crumpled to the ground, unconscious once again.
"That was close... If he'd turned into a Great Ape, things could have gotten very troublesome." Neil took a deep breath.
"Thanks for your hard work." The Grand Elder smiled and rose from his seat.
"Grand Elder, what should we do with him?" Neil asked.
"Take him somewhere far away, and give him all three Dragon Balls while you're at it," the Grand Elder said after a moment's thought.
Neil nodded.
A moment later, Neil grabbed Vegeta by the tail and flew into the sky.
Before long, he dropped Vegeta onto a flat stretch of land some distance away and casually placed the Dragon Balls beside him.
Neil was sure that even if Vegeta woke up, it wouldn't be a problem.
His Scouter had self-destructed.
Without it, Vegeta shouldn't be able to find me and the Grand Elder.
Besides, even if he did find us, he still wouldn't be a match for me.
Neil shook his head.
With strength like yours, you think you can conquer our planet?
Who gave you that confidence?
Just look at your underling, Lu Fan. He's much better.
Sure, he's a little devious...
But he has no evil in his heart.
You're both Saiyans. How can you be so different?
Neil soon left the area.
About half an hour later, Vegeta finally came to.
Vegeta immediately went on alert and sprang to his feet.
But when he saw that Neil and the Grand Elder were nowhere to be found, he finally relaxed.
"Damn it! Do they think so little of me?" Vegeta trembled all over.
Then he looked down and saw the three Dragon Balls lying on the ground.
That Namekian, just you wait.
Once I become a Super Saiyan, I'll deal with you properly.
First, I'll make my wish.
Vegeta picked up the three Dragon Balls and flew into the sky.
Fortunately, during the half hour he'd been unconscious, Vegeta had recovered some of his energy.
Even so, it took him over an hour of flying to finally make it back to the village where Elder Moori lived.
"Prince Vegeta, you sure took your time. I collected the three Dragon Balls ages ago. What took you so long?" Lu Fan said when he saw Vegeta.
Vegeta bared his teeth.
"Huh? Your Highness, you're hurt?" Lu Fan asked, feigning surprise.
"Hmph. I tripped and fell! Hurry up and make the wish!" Vegeta snorted, refusing to admit that anyone had beaten him.
If I say a Namekian beat me, they'll laugh at me.
"Sure, all the Dragon Balls are here." Lu Fan pointed to the four Dragon Balls lying on the ground.
Vegeta flew over and put his three Dragon Balls together with the other four.
At last, all seven Dragon Balls were assembled.
Golden light began to shine from the seven Dragon Balls.
"Come forth, Shenron!" Vegeta shouted at the Dragon Balls.
And then...
Nothing happened.
The seven Dragon Balls didn't react at all.
"What's going on? Why isn't anything happening?" Vegeta said, taken aback.
Elder Moori shook his head slightly, looking at Vegeta as if he were an idiot.
"Come forth, Shenron!" Lu Fan said to the seven Dragon Balls in the Namekian Language.
"Whoosh!"
Golden flames blazed around the seven Dragon Balls.
Then a golden pillar of light shot into the sky.
The sky immediately turned dark.
A moment later, a golden dragon coiled across the night sky, looking especially majestic and awe-inspiring.
"What? Did you just speak the Namekian Language?" Vegeta turned to Lu Fan in surprise.
"Mm-hmm." Lu Fan nodded.
"When did you learn the Namekian Language?" Vegeta asked.
"I picked it up in my spare time." Lu Fan grinned.
Vegeta: "..."
"Those who have gathered the Dragon Balls, state your wishes. I can grant you up to three wishes," Porunga's voice rang out.
"You can have all three wishes this time, Lu Fan," Elder Moori said to him.
"Thank you, Elder Moori." Lu Fan nodded.
"You're welcome. I have a feeling that before long, Namek will face a tremendous crisis... You may become the savior of our people..." Elder Moori said with a sigh.
Lu Fan wasn't surprised.
It was only natural for Namekians to have such abilities.
Before you continue
