Battle Against the Saibaman

As the two spaceships approached, Son Goku and the others on Earth quickly sensed their ki.

"They're here!"

Krillin said with a grave expression.

No sooner had he spoken than two brilliant white lights appeared in the sky.

These two lights were none other than the spaceships of Vegeta and his companion.

With two thunderous booms, the ships slammed heavily into the ground.

A massive cloud of dust was instantly kicked up from the earth.

A moment later, as the dust settled, two sizable craters appeared in the ground.

Vegeta and Nappa opened the hatches of their ships simultaneously and stepped out.

"Are... are they the two partners Raditz spoke of?"

Yamcha said in terror.

He had originally been confident that he stood a chance in a fight, but the ki radiating from Vegeta and Nappa far exceeded his imagination.

"Whoosh..."

"Thud..."

At that very moment, Vegeta and Nappa flew up from the craters their ships had created and landed on the ground.

"Kakarot, so you really have been resurrected!"

Vegeta said to Son Goku with a smile on his face.

Son Goku nodded.

"Are you the companions of Raditz?"

"That's right, Kakarot. My name is Nappa, and standing beside me is the prince of our Saiyan race, Prince Vegeta!"

"The prince of the Saiyans!"

"One, two, three... seven, eight. Quite a few of them have come, haven't they?"

Vegeta said as he counted the number of people with Son Goku.

"Well then, Nappa, why don't you go play with them first?"

"As you wish, Prince Vegeta!"

As Nappa spoke, he activated the Scouter worn over his left eye.

"Beep... beep..."

"1220..."

"1083..."

"1480..."

"1830..."

"610..."

"What is this! They're all just a bunch of weaklings!"

Seeing the numbers displayed on his Scouter, Nappa said with utter disdain.

"Nappa, what is Kakarot's power level?"

Vegeta asked.

"I haven't checked yet, but I imagine his power level isn't much higher than theirs!"

"Nappa, don't be too careless. Kakarot is likely not as simple as you think!"

Vegeta reprimanded him.

Krillin and the others all appeared very nervous, while only Son Goku and Son Gohan remained extremely calm.

Based on his years of combat experience, Son Goku and Son Gohan's strength was definitely not simple.

"...Yes!"

Upon hearing this, Nappa immediately turned his Scouter toward Son Goku in a panic.

"Beep... beep..."

"1000..."

Seeing the reading on the Scouter, Nappa let out a sigh of relief.

"Prince Vegeta, Kakarot's power level is 1000!"

"Only 1000? And here I was, actually looking forward to him! What about that brat?"

Vegeta looked toward Son Gohan.

Nappa heard this and aimed his Scouter at Son Gohan.

"Beep, beep..."

"980..."

"980!"

Nappa announced Son Gohan's power level.

Upon hearing this, Vegeta stroked his chin with his right hand.

Then, as if he had realized something, he spoke.

"I understand now. Kakarot and that brat have both been suppressing their power levels, which is why they are so calm!"

"Suppressing their power levels?"

"Nappa, have you forgotten? When Kakarot fought Raditz, his power level was only a little over four hundred, yet somehow, he managed to raise it to over nine hundred later on!"

"So that's it! But Prince Vegeta, even if Kakarot is hiding his power, it shouldn't be possible for it to exceed mine, right?"

"Theoretically, that is indeed unlikely, but you had better be careful regardless!"

"I understand, Prince Vegeta!"

Nappa nodded.

"Aren't you going to start yet?"

Son Goku asked after seeing the two of them chatting for so long.

Nappa chuckled and said.

"Kakarot, are you in such a hurry to throw your life away?"

"Throw my life away?"

Son Goku looked at Nappa with a puzzled expression after hearing this.

Although Nappa's ki was very strong, he was still confident that he could defeat him.

As for Vegeta... that was harder to say.

Nappa sneered, walked over to a patch of ground, and planted several seeds into the soil.

"What is he doing?"

Yamcha asked, confused.

"I don't know!"

Krillin shook his head.

Just then, the ground suddenly erupted with a loud bang, and six short, green little monsters crawled out from the dirt.

These little monsters were called Saibamen, one of the traditional weapons of the Saiyans.

However, they were not a Saiyan invention, but rather creatures they had discovered on a certain planet long ago.

Saibamen fought on their own and were convenient tools, but the seeds used for cultivation were difficult to harvest; they were few in number and very expensive, so not just anyone could use them.

A Saibaman had a power level of 1200, and in terms of raw strength alone, it could rival Raditz, who had a power level of 1500. Although their status was low, their strength was terrifying.

"These are Saibamen, and each of them has a power level of 1200!"

"1...1200? Isn't that very close to Raditz's power level?"

Krillin said in terror.

"That's right, but Raditz was only one person, while there are six of them!"

Krillin swallowed hard after hearing this.

"Yamcha, are you sure you want to go up against them alone?"

"Well... I think it wouldn't be a bad idea for everyone to go together!"

Piccolo snorted coldly upon hearing this, his face full of disdain.

Krillin and the others turned serious after hearing him.

Nappa sneered and waved his large hand toward the Saibamen.

"Go get them!"

Upon hearing this, the six Saibamen immediately charged toward Son Goku and the others.

Son Goku moved, punching through the body of one of the charging Saibamen.

Son Gohan casually fired a blast of ki with his right hand, instantly obliterating the Saibaman charging at him.

Seeing this, Krillin raised his right hand, condensing a rapidly spinning ring of light in his palm.

"Destructo Disc!"

Krillin shouted, throwing the ring of light from his hand toward the charging Saibamen.

"Whoosh..."

With a slicing sound, the Saibaman's body was cleaved in two and collapsed onto the ground.

"Nice!"

Seeing this, Yamcha immediately felt a surge of confidence, condensing a Spirit Ball in his hand and launching it toward a Saibaman.

Just then, the Saibaman's head suddenly split open, spraying out a stream of corrosive liquid.

Yamcha quickly recoiled, his right hand maneuvering the Spirit Ball to curve back around after the Saibaman dodged it.

BOOM!

With a massive explosion, the Saibaman was finished off.

The remaining two Saibamen grew timid at the sight.

"Do not retreat!"

Seeing the Saibamen afraid to advance, Nappa let out a thunderous shout.

"Hah!"

Obeying the command, the Saibamen charged toward Piccolo and Tien Shinhan.

Piccolo let out a cold snort, driving his right fist hard into the abdomen of the charging Saibaman.

"Argh!"

With a miserable shriek, the Saibaman collapsed to the ground in agony.

Piccolo fired an energy wave from his left hand, obliterating the Saibaman instantly.
