Gohan's Early Training

Piccolo visits Gohan during his isolated training, bringing him fish and silently sharing a campfire with him. After Gohan falls asleep, Piccolo stays beside him through the night before leaving before dawn. 2

Concerned by Gohan's sudden change in strength and personality, Piccolo challenges him to a spar. Gohan effortlessly evades him and defeats him with a single kick, prompting Piccolo to question how Gohan became so powerful and whether something had changed about him. 3

Piccolo then becomes Gohan's instructor again, teaching him the Special Beam Cannon and Masenko. He brings Gohan to the Lookout and openly confirms to the other fighters that Gohan has surpassed him. 4

Gravity Training and Namek

Piccolo trains with Gohan in Bulma's Gravity Room, refusing to be left behind despite the growing gap between them. 8
